Injury 2022 Injury Report; break em, fix em, play em.

Love the detail that Wade goes in to with these reports, it’s so refreshing to have a full explanation of what players are doing and where they’re at instead of the basic “player x is short/medium/long term” BS we used to get with Walsh.
I really wish we wouldn't do this, too much info is bad, it will give other teams a massive advantage.

I've just finished watching Mr Bean Man vs Bee & it was obvious from the start the bee had inside info.

So Madge isn’t an option for Maynard if he misses… Ruscoe likely the guy then.

Get well soon Arlo.
Has to be, really.

If De Goey plays, Ginni gets the chop. He's good, but he'll have to adapt from staging for frees.

Maybe an option for medi-sub?

I have to say, it's refreshing this year to see key players go down only to have a report a couple days later saying that there's no long term injury!

Feels like every other year it would've been Moore out for the season, Maynard out for the season etc.

When Grundy went down I recall writing it was a big opportunity for Cox and Cameron to get a good long run without the constant threat of being dumped the moment they have a poor game or quarter. We won ten straight and they have both shone for much of the time. Let's hope there is a player who is suddenly very keen to get to training and hoping to catch Fly's eye. Maybe it's a player already in our 22 like Josh Daicos who will get thrown into the centre bounces or JC. I'm wondering if they might even give C Brown one more chance to show he can be in extractor and pressure midfielder. Melbourne have such big mids I'd almost prefer him to McCrae. Small as he is he can tackle and break tackles. DeGoey will be spending a lot more time on ball I think.

That last line regarding Adams is the most concerning. They are not even confident he will be up and about after the week off before the finals begin.

If Mihocek is back then De Goey can spend more time as a mid. Bring in either Carmichael or Macrae for Adams. I like Carmichael as the sub as he is still building an AFL level tank but he might be the best option.

Difference from last time against Melbourne would be - Adams, Henry, T Brown (unused sub) out and Johnson, Carmichael & a sub (Bianco/Macrae?) in.

Played all over them last time and can do it again.

Horrible news. Really need him back for the finals. And for his sake too, he bleeds black and white, and deserves an opportunity to do what he does in September.

Given his past history of going too hard in rehab and therefore aggravating an injury in his determination to return as quickly as possible, fingers crossed that outcome doesn’t eventuate this time around.

Also, lols at the reporting “Adams out for the rest of the season”. Sensationalist journalism at its finest … only 3 weeks left but let’s make it sound so much worse.

You are right about sensationalism but unfortunately this injury is pretty much what we have become used to with Adams. For a key player, he spends too much time on the injury list every year. We'd have to be pessimistic about his chances of getting back for the finals.
