Played 8. 3 of them as unused med sub.

Certainly worth a look as a 24 year old who has had time in the system.

Whether there’s actually issues I have no idea.

But the idea of looking at the best teams fringe players isn’t the worst.
No he isn't.

I would definitely grab Narkle , I remember a game when we played the cats and he really carved us up.
He played 16 games for the cats last year but couldn't get into the team this year ,which when you look at those players they have in there was pretty tough.
Could get him cheap, nothing to loose and he's a WA kid ,only 24 ,plenty of good footy left in him.

It SHOULD be irrelevant but the reality is that it’s not. League is littered with players that were traded for overs in their early 20s partly because they were a former top 10 pick.

Not sure there’s too many recent examples of this.

Logue would be about as good as example as you get but he’s still shown he’s capable of playing at AFL level. And he plays a position that’s hard to find.

If players like Josh Schache or Paddy Dow were traded it’d be for peanuts. Personally I think Schache will be delisted and won’t find a suitor.

The difference would be that out of Logue, Dow and Schache - one of them has been offered $3.5m over five years and the other two might not have a job at AFL level at all once their current contract ends.

That's why Logue is worth a high pick. That he was a top ten pick isn't really relevant. It probably is why his name was noticed by North though and why he stuck around at AFL level after his first seasons were destroyed with injury - he might not have had as much luck if he was a pick 60

Oh ok.

Do you mind creating a post with all of your ideas so I can just reference back to it for confirmation.

I’d hate to waste time on a discussion forum about hypotheticals when it’s so definitive in
He is a spud and it's a minor miracle he is still on their list.

The idea has been floated on here before and has been shot down but the club should consider allocating some of Brayshaw's midfield minutes to the wing. If you think about it his strengths aren't contested possessions but his two way running, disposal accumulation and defensive acts. He should split the time with Erasmus who's main strength is contested possessions which would accelerate his development and partially solve our winger problem. I think it is worth experimenting with because a combo of Ras and Brodie could be deadly.

Ffs we aren’t accepting 29 for Lobb in this s**t draft. Ignore the VIC journalists.

With regards to Meek, it has to be a pick in the 30s-40s or we hold.
100%

Meek and Lobb are contracted.

We don't have to trade and pick 29 is ok pick but it's not list making.

Better for us to have both Lobb and Meek on the list next year and next trade period get about what they offered this year.

And that’s why Logue is getting us a top 25 selection in next year’s draft and Dow and Schache would be worth **** all.

In no way, shape or form is Logue worth a first rounder. We should take the second rounder before North Melbourne find a better player (i.e. Hunter Clark) to use it on.

Fair enough.

I’m not suggesting that he is good.

I’m just saying we have spots to fill and we will likely target some DFA.

Supporters on here act like everyone we pick up must be best 22. I mean I get that, but if someone is cheap enough then why not?

There’s better players in the state leagues than Quinton Narkle imo. Much better players get delisted every season tbh.

Don’t think he’ll be on an AFL list next season.
Remember a fair few people in here saying the same about Clark being a spud too. The reality is Fremantle need mature age players and Narkle is worth a shot. His best is pretty damn good

Where do we want to play Narkle?

Forward? Realistically he isn't as quick, as big or as productive as Banfield.
Midfield? Are we just adding another mature body to fill the void left by Blakely at Peel?

I’m suggesting he’s worth a look as a free swing, low $ option. I’m not suggesting he walks into our best 22.

Might be 29 with a swap of futures.

He doesn’t want to be at freo, move him on
No. Move him on for the right price.

Lobb and our future 3rd for a 1st rounder.

Bulldogs first is what we want. We may need to give a little extra but that’s what we deserve. We spent draft picks and a shit load of Dough on George Mcfly. We don’t walk away with a shitty 29 pick.
