Mate it’s 3 and a bit weeks till Trade week. Then the possibility of drafting mature agers. We will of course bring in extra reinforcements for our KPD stocks.
Yes I get that, and I am totally relaxed that we will sort it out - I was just trying to show how much list turnover we've had recently, including some players who until very recently had been assumed to be best 25.

If we can somehow get a pick for Joel H in some trade I would be very happy. Even pick 97 in 2029.

Any chance of us going after Sam Menegola?? Out of favour at the Cats would go straight onto the wing I reckon.

I was just about the only one on here calling to trade hammer 2 years ago when he had currency as I could see him being pushed out plus injuries. Pardon the pun but I got hammered even mentioning it..

2 years later with Logue leaving I think we should keep him depth. Let him see out the final year.

I had to laugh at the headline they are already pushing on channel WEt Toast about "Next Years Will Brodie"... As if it is just an easy thing ti get someone like WIll and turn him into a suddenly gun player...

If we don't get Schahe or manage to convince Naughton or Spencer to come home then I agree with your approach.

nobody seems to care about...Crowden...
Mitch is contracted for another year and is the absolute core of our multiple Brownlow award winning midfield, isn't he??

Look what you did. I hope you are happy with yourself. It's so drafty and cold in here now.
forgive me halloween GIF

Nothing has made me want to keep him more. What a campaigner. Hope he suffers next year.

More Colin Young and Crumpetface initiated media drama.

If we do trade Lobby we get value for him, otherwise it is the same result as Young's media manipulation got last year - much angst for Rory, no trade, perform or play WAFL next year. Silly boy to buy property in Melbourne before trade completed.

Add in Weller, Sam Collins, Hayden Crozier and Hogan, plus the delistings of McCarthy, Hamling, Blakely and Mundy's retirement, and I reckon we've had almost as much list turnover as any side.

Huge to manage. But, with who we've brought in, both via draft, trade and through free agency, I think we have overall improved.
We're better than we were, now the challenge is to keep the trajectory going without over investing in any one magic player. Looking at you Jackson.

Seriously, we have yet to see anything much from Erasmus, Matthew Johnson or Can't Miss Amiss. If one of those three comes on, plus we see continued development from NOD, Chaps, Cox and Young...

If all 3 mature to what they might be... Wow.

If I am right on my stats, in our last game this year, 9 of our 22 players were 22 or under. 9.
We have an amazingly positive age profile. Just need to manage competing salary increase demands and get the right mix of contract extensions, new blood plus older rookie bargains...

When was Hamling delisted?

It was very arrogant of him, and now he might have to live in Peter Bell's dungeon

The lack of professionalism to not show up is very dissapointing.

The privilege these contracted players think they're entitled too is just pathetic.

Hold him to his contract and tell him to grow up. His management should be giving him the same advice, but sadly his management is just as pathetic

Ben Simmons behaviour.

My word we have shed some players have'nt we?

Cerra, Neale, Langdon, Hill, Logue, Acres, Tucker and probably Meek and Lobb.

Thats an entire midfield and a decent one at that. Has any other club bled so much talent? Possibly only GWS and Suns
The players we lost to trades in recent years were clear best 22 when fit, including Hogan.

Take solace in the fact that Tucker and Meek aren't in our best 25. Logue isn't in our best back seven and may not have got a game forward if Tabs and Fyfe were both fit. Acres was best 22 this year but he'd likely be surpassed by younger talent in years to come, like Henry and Noddy. The only clear best 22 player we may lose is Lobb and, at this point in time, the club has said they won't be facilitating a trade. The way I see it, we won't let go of Lobb unless we get a blinder of a deal.

We're likely to get good deals for Logue and Acres (taking into account their uncontracted status) based on career best output from both of them. We're losing what are arguably a bunch of fringe players right when their value has peaked.

Even after losing these guys, our list will still be burgeoning with talent. Losing these guys will free up cap space and hopefully net us some good draft picks to add talent by trade or through the draft.

Yeah, it sucks massively to lose so many players at once and it is a hit to our depth. Although, as other posters have pointed out our remaining depth is still fairly good. We've got talented young kids to run through the middle and Hughes, Wilson and Hamling down back. Admittedly, the forward depth leaves a little to be desired but if Sturt and Treacy progress well there might finally be some added pressure for spots there.
