Geez, I come back on the board after being away, post one miserable opinion and suddenly everyone agrees with me.

What has happened around here, 15 and a half wins gets BpG credibility apparently...

Why would anyone want him around the club?! He's a prick, a tantrum-hissy fitter and a known mercenary now......likely to get jeered by his own "fanbase". I certainly won't be interested in watching him play for us now; King Tenz HATES his guts! :tearsofjoy: I really don't see the point, I'd rather cash him in and piss him off. Of all the players wanting out, he's the one I'm least concerned by, never wanted him here in the first place back in 2018. He had one 'terrific' year: this one. And I thought the idea was Lobb out, Jackson in - and of course I thought losing him off the back of this year was potentially catastrophic with Tabs being injured so much, but I think it's more potentially catastrophic to keep him now after all the histronics of this.

No one is bigger than any given club. Ship him off and be done with it, that 2018 draft and trade is a curse and a bane; time to sever the last of the trade-ins that needs it (Colyer excused for exemplary behaviour!)
I hate the campaigner that damn much that I'd rather keep the little campaigner around just to piss him off even more.

So true. Watch him stay and everyone love him when he kicks 40 goals next year and we’re into the GF.

Then this place go’s nuclear for the third season in a row when he requests a trade.
I can honestly say I clapped for nothing he did this year. When they call out the players' names before the game, it was always quietest for Lobb.

We should be able to execute one player a year. It would stop this crap in its tracks.
Hanging, shooting or:
  1. being Son Son's boxing partner twice in a row; or
  2. having to be Hayden Ballentyne's Uber driver for 47 straight return trips from Byford to the Airport??

And what purpose does that ultimately serve?! It would cause more friction and harm than not because others would get dragged into the tug-of-war and then it becomes more than football. We've done a really good job of not having too much controversy in J-Lo's time and a unity and balance which has been satiating to say the least after the latter of the Lyon years with Bennell, Hogan etc.
Drama from sexual harrassment and substance abuse is nowhere near the "drama" generated from holding a player to a legal contract that they signed and agreed to.

FWIW no one except Young has a problem with freo holding him to his contract. The general rhetoric surrounding it is good job freo, finally someone is taking a stand.

You speak sense, except for the Ben Simmons comparison: Simmons actually had a small amout of fair justification for his 'cut the nose off to spite the face' style tantrum in that his own coach and captain signalled him out in press conferences for playing poorly in the play offs thus being completely unsupported by anyone during a tough trot. His childishness and complete tanking of his career prospects, whilst the height of embarrassment, weren't completely without merit.

Lobb has no such justification: It's all entitlement.

DeGropey, Handsey Jarrod Hansey and Wayne "crushed anti inflammmmammammammatories" Carey all love your post.

Yes, but if you hated him you wouldn’t care that he wants to leave again.

The player movements have changed. Most teams lose 1 a year they don’t want to. It’ll increase to 2-3 soon enough. I think we’ll lose 1-2 depending who you talk to.

Yeah I don't think Freo loses the general PR war in this until trade radio completely stalls for content and the Vic media agenda kicks into overdrive.

well on that basis, fair enough. Hope the creep rots at Peel or in sook-man's-land until his contract expires and no one goes near him with a barge pole. Justified karma for causing such a sh*tstorm

Lobb missed the meeting for personal reasons. not that it matters to the man children on here. No wonder players aren't loyal to teams when the supporters turn into human filth when a reporter baits them.
Oh word? Where you hear that from?

If he missed it for personal reasons then Mr. Young wouldn't have leaked it to the media that he missed because he was "furious" at the club.

And if what you're saying is true then it begs the question why in the **** would players want to be managed by a man who smears their name in the media?

Nahhhh Kapowwwywy mate, Simmons deserved every word of what Rivers and Joel said and then some.

3 nights in a row in the playoffs against Atlanta he was out at clubs instead of being at team meetings.
Plus when he came back the whole "practising with a phone in the pocket and then stomping out" was just juvenile and an act for the camera to see.

It isn't an accident that Simmons has failed to ever play for Australia in any meaningful international tournament.

He is a disloyal, self interested one dimensional player that is grossly overrated.

I mean, fair enough. Happy to give the benefit of the doubt and admit to falling for media sensationalism. Timing's a bit coincidental and the recent ranting ravings from his manager have one on edge.

Trade week in this order.
1. Jackson Trade first so they don’t get their hands on what we get for Logue. This must be done. 13 and F1. They will want to get the deal done to use those picks on another player.
2. Logue for 19
3. Trade Acres for a 2nd rounder.
4. Use that 2nd for Sharp
5. Trade Tucker for a future 3rd or something.
6. Trade in another Fwd on the cheap.

7. If we elect to proceed with a Meek or Lobb trade leave it late and milk as much as we can for the contracted duo. Lobb will be the token last trade for the viewers to tune into.

So Jackson must get done before the Logue trade. That is critical as we want to bring in at least 1 quality draftee in this year.
That all sounds about right
But you still think Lobb leaves ?

Assessment cheerfully withdrawn. I'm not an avid NBA fan so I wasn't aware of the play-offs context (though I still don't agree with public callouts but that is the nature of American sports). His behaviour during the stand off was the apotheosis of immaturity but it was entertaining at least.

This, this right here, this is why Hackdorn crumpetface and Young are such scum.

What follows is [not] a newsflash.

Many, many many AFL and AFLW players and coaches (and support staff) miss meetings or have issues that mean they need to manage their club appearances over the course of a season. Very few, if any, of the "reasons" for these absences ever make a team social chat, let alone supporter groups or media / social media chit chat.

The only time scum like Colin Young and Hackdorn Crumpetface ever leak this stuff is when it might generate extra clickbait for Hackdorn crumpetface or extra contract commission for Colin.

As soon as a player doesn't get AFL contracts Col baby cuts them to the kerb. And still sends them annual "management fee" invoices so Col baby gets his "share" of a pie that he neither earned, baked or tasted...

Thanks Kim. Say hiho to Colin, hoe.
