I think we should also extend the Danster a personal invitation to join a thread solely concerned with the Luke Jackson trade. Then we can all enter into some intelligent analysis and non-bias discussion regarding what unfolds. There's no way it could possibly go belly up! =P

Exactly what I was thinking by 1/4 time. Hickey looked so out of his depth it gave Sydney no chance.

Not true. It was correct at the time. Rumours had been going on for a few weeks before that from ITKs on here too. That was a backflip on Neale's part. He had already spoken to Freo and indicating he wanted to get there before he told Brisbane anything. So I think that's enough basis to run the story that he will likely request a trade home.

We got pick 6 for Neale and he was 3 years older so FFC figured pick 8 for Neale and a 3rd rounder would get it done. But Gerard Whately said he'd cost picks 6 and 8 and everyone ran with that so it made the trade impossible. So Lachie had to go back to Brissie with his tail between his legs.

Erasmus and Amiss offer more than Neale over the next 10-15 years but we probably play in the GF this year if the deal gets done.

No right or wrong here, I suppose. Just different philosophies about AFL success.

Me, I reckon Geelong have done pretty bloody well.

Also sick of people mentioning Zurhar after he’s signed an extension and the only proven ITK has said it’s 100% not happening.

Whately doesn't negotiate for Brisbane. If he does they should get someone else because he clearly phones it in since he has already tried to compare the Neale trade to the Dunkley one this week even though Neale was contracted and Dunkley isn't.

It didn't get done for whatever reason but it had nothing to do with Whately.
