If you think I’m going to spend the next 2 weeks listening to hours and hours of ads on repeat, recycled conversations about possible trades, list analysis from experts like Matt Rendell and Cam Luke, all the while erratically shouting at the unfairness of the trade value Damian Barrett and Kane Cornes place on some of our freo players….

You’d be 100% right!

Starts tomorrow at 7am 😊😊😊

I'm skipping the first week.

Will monitor here and twitter. Any interesting segments I can listen via the podcast replays.

Just ready an article fox footy poster.

Brennan Cox keeps getting mentioned as a possible trade.

All I can say is why?

Because Adelaide asked the question.

Also that article is a running article for the past few months that gets updated every now and then. Still says acres is "weighing up" options despite the fact that he requested a trade. Poorly edited.

I admire your optimism brother but before you know it you will be listening to the early trade on the way to work every day this week and humming the Beaumont tiles jingle all day in your head

Jackson and Fyfe into the midfield next year.
Should probably follow the Cats model on Dangerfield this year with Fyfe. They held him back in games from the centre, unleashed him in bursts leading into finals and then he was full-time midfielder in the finals, he looked fresh and not broken down like in past years.

They've had a bit of practice managing older players into finals campaigns.

Couldnt agree more.
One thing I realised yesterday - Fyfe is key to any potential Freo flag between now and 2025.
The challenge is to get his body right for about 16 or so games per season of the biggest magnitude, and then for our coaches to find a way to integrate him into our team to maximum effect. Manage him though-out the seasons to get him in peak form from august onwards.
You need gun players firing on all cylinders to win the flag.
The strength of that Geelong emergency list should be enough evidence for anyone of where we need to get to

It's interesting. Our rebuild is grounded in the strategy of getting those early draft picks from 2017 onwards developed and firing whilst Fyfe was still at, or at least near, his peak. It means we should be challenging in the next year or two or that strategy has failed. But I get that some people think we're still five years off a Fyfe-less run at the flag. It wasn't part of the plan, and I have my doubts, but maybe they're right
