I'm deeply offended by the concept of quotas, even though my babies will benefit from it. I want my son to be drafted to the AFL because he is the best player at that pick, but if there is a quota system he will forever be considered to have been chosen above a better player for his racial identity. He is Matthew, a kind hearted cheeky, funny little man. I don't want people seeing anything else of him first.

Support systems aren't equal across Australia. That's a fact. That's why almost all the players drafted are private school boys.

Or is this because private schools give more kids the opportunity to play sport?
