I'm sure Lobb's contract situation is causing serious stress to his relationship at the moment and even if he is calm and accepting of the situation she may not and instead blowing up his phone and crawling under his skin until it's very much his problem too.

Let's be honest: Anything coming from Young is best treated with a grain of salt. It all serves some purpose and is designed for one reason or another and "truth for truths sake" isn't exactly a reason let alone a good reason in his eyes.

I'd be livid if my partner turned off his phone to avoid talking to me when I was upset at the situation. Absolutely livid

Please, I went through puberty with a both dial-up internet and a cassette walkman. Combine that with following Freo and that's just the holy trinity of frustration for a 15 year old...

Time for Rory to re evaluate his relationship then, in the scheme of things if his partner can't cope with a few months of trade and contract dramas then they might want to think about becoming involved with a professional athlete.

So many people have to deal with stress in their lives (due to sick kids, family trauma, illness or accidents), manage stressful relationships with far less income, far fewer opportunities and way less contract certainty than Lobb. Why does he get sympathy for this? Especially when the whole situation has been cooked up by Colin Young two years in a row??

The narrative keeps changing so much, it would be difficult being a team mate and having to trust him.

All can be true at once. She moves to Melbourne because Young has promised them Rory will move to a new contract on the big bucks after the three years and everything will work out.

He signed a contract. A good one. He is being held to it. Now he wants out, poor form. If Fremantle had terminated his contract he would have been paid out.

I suppose he could walk away from it and not play or get paid next year, I don't know the details. But as people say he seems like a merc and just wants $$$.

Unless we can get some sort of decent compensation for him, he stays. With his current attitude I don't think he will get much of a look in from other clubs. Plus with his current output what kind of money would he seriously expect?

Very silly to buy the house etc. when you are contracted to work on the other side of the country.
