The Athletic's Jeff Howe reports Baker Mayfield has told the Browns he wants to be traded to the Colts.​

According to Jordan Schultz, the two teams are in discussions about a deal. The Colts are a logical landing spot for Mayfield. They have a solid running game, a good roster, and likely only need competent quarterback play to make a real run at the playoffs. Baker could not offer that last season, but he showed signs of better than just competent play in 2020. Assuming the cost is low, taking a chance on Mayfield makes sense for the Colts.

Titans signed Austin Hooper, formerly of the Browns, to a one-year, $6 million contract.​

In obviously the biggest move of the day, the Titans pick up the scraps after the Browns cut Hooper on Wednesday. Hooper disappointed in Cleveland, but he is a better pass-catching option at tight end than the Titans had at any point last year. Even so, it is tough to get excited about him as anything more than a touchdown-or-bust TE2.

Potential upside is probably with Baker sure, hidden under injuries and still an unknown as a 'leader' and team man. Colts just took a very similar risk and it didn't work.

Windows don't stay open for long and Jimmy has shown he isn't selfish, sticks to the plan and can be part of a team to go deep.

Will see how much Ryan enjoyed the last few days I guess.
