Training 2022 Pre-season

Both William and Darryl play basketball. William for NZ Breakers and Darryl is playing with the Redland team in the QBL (or NBL One North as it's called now)

I saw a bloke out training with one of the Coaching staff before Christmas on the second field at Yeronga.
Kicking on what I thought looked like his non dominant side, at least I hope so because he wasn’t kicking the ball very well.
It could have been DJ because he looked like a bigger version of Bruce Reville, but I knew it wasn’t BReville, and I was trying to work out who it might have been.
Looked very athletic but not great foot skills off his left.

Well, that's interesting! William plays in the NBL so it makes sense it was Darryl Jnr. IIRC, Darryl is shorter.

He has the running capacity and the big body to play that slightly more physical role than the other wing (Clugg, Sharp, etc)

Mich is a p***k. Keidean was already in my SC Team He was my smokey for a break out year. Well not anymore.

It is the likes of Keidean and others like him, Starcevich, Bailey, Big O, J.Berry, Cockatoo etc. that will take us the next step. Our better players are already carrying the load and the need for improvement needs to come from others. I would put Hugh into that category as well but only due to the fact that I believe that he has another level to go to, as in the conversation for Brownlow level.

I think he was up until around round 10 last year.

Interestingly that coincided with him spending more time in the middle with Neale injured from about round 6. Given the opportunity he could be in the mix if he got to play full time in that role, as long as the umps are on board of course. However, as weird as it sounds, it's probably still more beneficial to our team to have him spending a good chunk of time on the wing.
