How about with your own opinions rather than being a dick.

Training @ Yeronga - 9/2/22.

Got down to watch the last hour or so of training today, it was all game day scenario stuff.

1- When I got there I saw the last 5 minutes (no idea how long it had been going) of a full field 18 v 18 contest.
2- They then broke into 2 big groups at either end of the field working on forward 50 entries and back 50 exits.
3- Finished off with some stoppage work in a couple of groups and forwards working leading patterns.
4- I can't believe how fit and lively Cockatoo is looking this off season, full of running and very classy.
5- In the full field game I did notice at the 1 centre bounce I saw Sharp and Ah Chee were on the wing closest to me, Sharp in the A side.
6- Clugga got a little hot under the collar when he got caught HTB a couple of times, one of them was by Blake Coleman, couldn't tell who the other tackler was.
7- Andrews and Richy were noticeable giving the younger guys tips/instruction.
8- One thing I thought was a bit odd was when they were practicing their F50 entries I heard Richy ask Dan McStay how he likes the ball delivered when he leads to the pocket, Dan said out in front so I can jump with outstretched arms... you would have thought Richy would have already known how Dan likes the ball delivered to certain areas of the ground.
9- Ben Hudson was clearly in charge of the session, only saw Fages as the session ended and he show ponied with a sharp snap from an acute angle.

I went for my second session today. Was there pretty much from the start but I can't really add much to what you've already said. Pretty light circle work and kicking to moving targets for the first hour

The whole squad looks in good nick. I didn't notice anyone doing rehab work.

Love the way K Coleman moves and delivers the ball. Looks like he can go to the next level, Rayner looks fit and raring to go.

Dan Rich all class as usual. That laser left foot has lost nothing ,

Interesting bit of byplay between Mitch Robbo and Jax Prior with Prior expressing faux outrage at some of Robbo's antics, same thing later between Robbo and Answerth. All in good fun.

Zorks didn't do much for the hour I was there.

Agree

In fact I didn't think any of the onballers overtaxed themselves, Lachie seemed almost invisible. Most of the higher intensity stuff seemed to involve the backs and the forwards,

I noticed Hugh having set shots from 50 in the last 20 minutes. Nice to see him working on it and even nicer to see him slotting them. A part of his game that has let him down for most of his career, Gee, if he could kick straight that would really cap off his already awesome game

Probably because any time Richy is forward of centre he's not looking at the pockets; he's aiming for the big sticks!

Seems to have not trained for quite a while?

Interesting to see where he is at. Had a very good season but not great finals. Just turned 33. Can’t afford to slow down as his burst speed is crucial.

According to Robbo's podcast today from 2:50 - 6:15, Zorko stated that he has been experiencing some niggles in his Achilles after the Christmas break from his previous Achilles injuries in the past, resulting in him having a limited pre-season for us (post-Christmas) and not being able to complete full training as often as he would like during the summer, but he said that he will play 1/2 the match this Friday in the intra-club at Zillmere (4x 20 minute quarters) and then hopefully be okay to play during the practice match against Adelaide for us next fortnight, depending on how his niggles are tracking & managed.

Forward pocket might beckon! Thanks for the udpate

Not worth the risk, rest him for the practice match against Adelaide (not as if he does not know the team) and give one or two of the young guys some valuable experience

So glad Answerth, Rayner and Cockatoo are looking good. Kiddy seems to be impressing. Just those players in form and fit make an instant difference to the team. Also good to hear Fort is pushing Big O in training. I think he will very important this year. Also good to hear fwd50 entries and defensive 50 exits are being worked on. If Answerth n Kiddy are going well I don't think there is any need for Zorks to be back there. His fwd defensive pressure is invaluable. Also reading Prior, Sharp, Devrob n B2 (tom berry) are sticking it to others in the practice matches. That's great. Haven't heard much about Madden or E Smith, how are they tracking. Also keen to hear more about H Smith n Lois Lane if people are taking notice.

Has anyone noticed how Wylie Buzza is going? Am I right in thinking that even though he is just signed as a vfl player, he would be able to play as a covid top up in the firsts because of the afl's recent top up rule? Good encouragement there for him to have a big crack.

All very positive signs coming from the training reports. It seems the squad as a whole has taken a step fwd.

Yeah, Richy's apology to Dan after he drills one from 60 - "Sorry Dan, I was aiming for your outstretched arms and overshot it".
