Speaking of a former Magpie, was told Tyler Brown interviewed in Adelaide, but not sure what club or AFL/SANFL. Anyone heard anything there? Assuming it would be for a SANFL club more than one of us or the Power.
Is he the half decent one or the useless one?

look at keays out front and people want him dropped

FFS

he has legs shaped like old bent bits of wood and hes still miles in front. has more ticker than all the others combined.... ok he cant kick. but we can carry one of those we just cant carry 22 of those who are also slow, no courage, etc
If half the players gave as much as him the team would be much better. He gets 110% out of himself.

If he actually worked on his disposal a little he could def be elite.

If we are keen on Phillipou, why did we give up pick 5 so easily to Gold Coast? There wasn't even anything to suggest we were trying to keep it. Given Gold Coast gave up pick 7 and a player for nothing but salary cap relief, they can't have valued pick 5 that highly to not take our future 1st if we offered that instead. Which takes me back to thinking the Crows don't rate Phillipou and would prefer to keep the future 1st. Nicks talk might just be for the future and if Phillipou wants to come home.

My thoughts exactly

I also think that all the talk is because people refuse to accept that we've made a conscious decision to overlook Phillipou and are trying to convince themselves that we must have some bigger plan at play.

Gold Coast gave away Pick 7 because they knew they were getting Pick 5 from us for Rankine. Gold Coast wanted to dump Bowes so all they had to do was offer a pick enticing enough for a club to bite, it could have easily had been a 2023 1st rounder that they traded.

Right out of the blocks all the talk has been that we put Pick 5 on the table from Day 1, there was no mention at all of our 2023 pick even being in play.

Given that we traded away Pick 23 to get us a pick around the same value in 2023 I can't help but think that we're wanting to invest heavily into the 2023 draft.

The look of it is we now have an extra 2nd round pick now for 2023 courtesy of North Melbourne. If someone we like slides into that range this year we now have the flexibility, both in capital and list spots to jump back into the draft to grab that player. That is the general scenario, we've kept things open for a slider, not to spend our 2023 stocks to jump back into the single digits of this draft to grab a guy. And if that doesn't happen then we take that extra list spot into the rookie draft (or maybe even PSD again like with Nankervis).

I expect you'll change that view after night 2 of the draft, possibly even night one....

Correct we didn't open up the list spots for nothing....we obviously have serious interest in several players aside from Michalanney, my mail is they're SA based players.

Surely for a SANFL club

I'm not convinced we're that interested in Phillipou, but I DO think we've positioned ourselves to have as many options as possible due to our 2023 picks.

I especially think 1st round pick swap and either of the 2023 2nds will be available IF the right player is there.

Or perhaps in Teal?

Ok, after the LOLs have lolled away, it may not be inconceivable. His partner is an Adelaide girl and IMO one of his reasons for leaving was so she could do a post doc degree that was canned at Flinders Uni - maybe they're looking to move back here? (assuming they're still together)
