Just curious, how good is he defending one-on-one on smaller forwards? We basically have only Lemmens at the moment.
It's hard to say since he had only the 1 season at HB and roamed fairly free. I'd say average at best in that regard. However that was my point about using him properly, his instincts are to attack and this attributes suit that role. If you try and use him in a one on one role then you're doing it wrong.

It's common knowledge that the GC match selectio is frustrating some players. I don't think the Suns ever seem to play their most talented 22 , Hollands should have played earlier, Sexton more often and a couple of players much less
Wonder if the coaches that see these players all the time know more than BF posters?

I agree on some of those but Sharp doesn't try hard enough. It's infuriating to watch in the AFL and VFL, he has all the tools to be a very good wingman but not sure he has the drive.
If he is also homesick it might make sense his wayward form this year.

Hard pass from the Eagles on that. Our 2023 2nd could be pick 19. :$ :straining: :'(

Freo's future 2nd would be closer to the market. Pick 30ish.
How hard are you guys chasing Jackson? Suns might have 3 firsts this year so would be your obvious solution to splitting picking 2.

5,Bris 1st/Sharp for 2 and something else? Obviously assumes the Suns need/want pick 2.

Sharp the same as Flanders, contracted so we're not taking unders. He's not a salary dump so it won't be a Brodie type deal.

Im most definatly on the split pick 2 train. Even without trading for Jackson.

And with all the picks both clubs have this year and next a game of swapsies I can see happening.

Sharp may get caught up in all that sure.

Benefit of dealing with the Eagles is they wont seriously contend for another 2 to 3 years. Freo will be.

Thought they would learn their lesson with Atkins. Fringe players on long term contracts.
Depends on the money, but seems too long.

To play devils advocate I guess players want longer deals to move interstate? Do many players move interstate on 1-2 year deals?

Jackson would be a great target for you guys, Nic Nat is almost done. WC should be buttering the Suns up to get their first next year, which will probably have to get traded for points. You guys need lots of picks over the next few years so splitting is the play for sure.

Not sure the Suns really need pick 2 this year though. Doesn't seem a clear player to target. Maybe Wardlaw but North may take him anyway.

Don't know Sharp but he comes across as having a healthy ego (probably due to those surfy looks) so he may not cope with playing behind those players he feel are inferior. We have to bend over backwards to keep our interstate kids and still are losing our best 2

If Dunkley nominates Brisbane, fair chance Bulldogs ask for our 2022 and 2023 first round picks.

And what is closer to the mark for Sharp?
Speculation is a waste of time, big footy posters won’t be doing the deal

I rate Sharp and obviously the club did too having paid a high price for him. I expect them to ask for and receive overs or he can play out his contract

What deal? I asked what you think is fair?

You are now avoiding putting up any real opinion what is a fair trade.

So what is a fair trade?

Tick.......tick.......tick.......

You dont have a view on what is fair?

I think Lyons, Brodie and Wright prove otherwise. All three couldn't get a game at the gold coast but are in the top 10 players at their new clubs, two of which top 6 on the ladder.
Lyons not too 10 this year.

Essendon and Freo had a need for those certain players where we had a surplus on a high contract.

How did Suns go with Lyons in the line-up for 2 years (including having Ablett as a teammate)? Lions fans were asking to drop Lyons the whole season and finally got their wish. Most Lions fans worry about 2 more years left on his contract. Brodie's game got exploited in the finals and Wright - goes ok, still not great KPF. I prefer watching Chol on supposedly 400-450K.
