Suns traded pick 11 and 64 to get cats 27 to grab Sharp.

If they trade him for anything other then norths future second Rd pick.

He shouldn’t be traded at all if anything.

We are headed towards Craig Cameron is finished territory at lightning speed.

Yeah, I used to like the Mongrel punt as I felt they were more balanced in regards to the Suns, which very few media outlets were. I also liked their more numerous tone.

It’s been a while since I felt that. Even some of the game reviews were getting over-the-top critical of certain players. Maybe it’s just particular writers, as they rotate. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I can’t be bother re-hashing all the reasons I agree or disagree with the article. I do understand why they are ranting, but it offers very little nuance to the debate.
Probably the odd one out but I didn't find the article all that off track. Most of what was said was reasonably spot on but the biggest thing I took from it was that 2023 is a VERY critical year for the Suns. If they don't make the 8 - then huge questions must be asked re Dew etc. Anderson and Rowell are key signings very early in 2023 to stop the negative rot and then B King comes up again the following year. Club needs to go early on King as well if they can secure him to a long term deal. Glass is half full right now - just a matter of how you look at it.

Do we think the suns have even picked up the phone to ask the question about Dunkley or that we’re just our normal inept selfs

Craig is too busy accumulating every single pick in the 2023 draft on our path to world domination.

Craig Cameron says first Rd picks are bad…

GWS says first Rd picks are good

Nah they are wrong for this. In 2 years time they will have 5 kids all asking for $400-700k and half of them will bounce back to Victoria. What's the point of this never ending cycle? They're in the shit moreso than us as players actually like the GC lifestyle and until the AFL do something they're perenially ****ed.

Its a bloody nice draft hand. But are they not at all worried about going full circle with their salary cap issues in a few years time?
Draft capital is the new gold of trading

Can use picks to get to the top of the board.

Can use picks to bring in established players

Use picks for future picks.

Could use 12 and 15 and 18 to try get picks 3 or 4 or 5 etc

🤷🏽‍♂️

The new gold? Bruh, AFL been overrating draft picks since the ND was formed. What you on?

Is it? Giants seem to have more picks than everyone every year, and all they do is draft talent then have to trade that player in 2-4 years.
Cap space is the gold standard now.

Just check how many best 22 are leaving GWS this year and how many kids leave every year. 4 1M+ long term contracts are killing them (and Hayes is not far of 1M too). GWS are true factory for VFL. Compare this to Suns after this off-season - Exiting best 22, still decent depth, cap in best shape ever with space to chase a top player. Just need to re-sign Anderson, Rowell this off-season and have a decent run with injuries.
