There are literally dozens of proven AFL players who are just missing a chance.

But I'm sure the usual clique will chime in with 'not good enough for the mighty GCS'

Cooper Stephens is about 9th in the picking order at Geelong - I'd bet we didn't even ask about him coming up.

We took a future 3rd instead.

We fall away so badly outside our starting mids, it will hurt us badly next year if we get a single injury. Can't expect Flanders and Constable to go toe-to-toe with Oliver and Petracca.

We simply need 2 more experienced cheap tough mids before Wednesday 5pm.

Getting really hard to defend us at work at the moment.

We try to do any deal from a position of supplication - and get the expected result.

If we don't make finals next season - we will struggle to retain some players, let alone attract them.

I'm not alone surely in thinking we need to change some off-field staff as well as on-field.

Come on Craig - there are some gems in the rough there if you are brave enough.

Hawthorn have had to front-end contracts for the last 6 yrs to scrape into the 95% of cap.

Look at who walked away or were given away in the last 6 years from us. We should have played finals 5 yrs ago.

We have more than enough talent to make finals this year. I agree someone to crash and bash would be useful but the answer isn't Matt Crouch. Jed Anderson on a cheapish deal could be the answer.

Signings for the sake of it isn't the answer. You need the right players and more importantly the right characters.

The Sun's aren't Hawthorn, there is no point comparing to them.

Love your passion though mate. Keep it up I say. But Rhys Mathieson is not the answer

Our game plan is about pressure and driving the ball forward at any cost, watching Crouch handball to someone under pressure or move at the treacle slow speed he does for us would make me sick. The trade got more astounding when the AFL gave the permission to spread the contract out over multiple years and despite this the suns still offered up pick 7 for some reason. Why? They simply gave the cats their word or something, I dunno.

Clubs still would have gone for it even if it were Bowes and one or two second rounders instead.

Basically they gave up a top 10 pick when they didn't have to in the end. Could have brought in Busslinger and Humphrey, who are pretty much ready made, it's very disappointing and even trumps previous crazy deals.
