I heard Tom Browne mention the suns are into Jeremy McGovern. I know people will say he is too old, but I think a fresh challenge could have him back to his best and key defenders are a major list weakness.

I'd like to see the suns move from always being in this 'development of high draft picks' mindset, to getting the most mature and best list together possible to play finals. They can't always be in development mode forever.
McGovern is cooked, but…

Has signed a new two year deal at West Coast, but suffered a long term injury straight after signing the deal, so West Coast are holding off on announcing his (and Cripps) new deal.

A guy I really rate at Richmond that seems to be in and out of the side, is Noah Cumberland. He is super dangerous around goal and is a Queenslander, I'd be making enquiries.

Played very well against us when we best then last year.

Erratic as all hell, a horrible bit king kick. but can be dangerous. Electric athlete it appears.

With Flanders still struggling to cement a spot even with so many out of the side no doubt his manager will be putting his name out to other clubs. Expect our offer to be really low for a new contract, and player and club may be best to move on. Unfortunately they don't all turn out as you hope but maybe a change of scenery will bring out the best in him because he has teased with glimpses of an afl player.

Just curious, would you put Hollands in the same category? IMO, quite possibly.

Just saw a preview for a Fox Footy interview involving Nathan Buckley and Nick Daicos. Buckley must have asked him how he's dealing with all the attention/expectation that comes with his current situation and Daicos makes it very clear he's uncomfortable with it and tries to deflect to his teammates whenever he can. This backs up the theory that Daicos genuinely considered foregoing his father-son eligibility with Collingwood to join his good mates Rowell & Anderson and play outside of the limelight on the Gold Coast.

If I were in our recruiting team I'd be doing everything possible to be in a position to attract Daicos to join us at the end of 2025 when he's off contract. By that point it's entirely possible we'll be genuine premiership contenders and Nick may feel the way Joe Daniher did after multiple years at Essendon when he became really keen to get out of the Melbourne bubble. We make a lot of sense for Nick Daicos if he wants to leave, mainly because of the Anderson/Rowell connection, but also because we seem to have a bright future ahead of us. I'll also add that the Daicos boys have family connections on the GC so there's several reason to potentially join us if you're Nick.

Daicos to us in 2025 would be bigger than Ablett to us in 2010
Not saying it couldn't happen but given the best players we've attracted since GAJ are Wittsy(Collingwood reject) and Weller(paid a King's ransom) I'm pretty confident it will never happen.
Malceski ;) Man i was excited for that one... Hanley both washed when they got here.

How would we of obtained pick 1 or 2 for Nick to join us?

Do you mean in his draft year or in a few years from now when he's off contract?
2021, North or GWS would of backed themselves to take Daicos before us if he was in the open draft
1 and 2, I’d say. As a starting point. Melbourne media and Collingwood wouldn’t settle for anything less.

But that’s ok, it’s a fun fantasy to dream about.
