Now with concessions gone Cameron is doing OK, no?

Love how Hawks fans are surprised that we don't give up Chol for chips (at least for now, haha). At the same time, they want world for Koschitzke.
Concessions were a problem. It dilutes value of a pick when you can’t use them effectively. This was especially true as we had to trade ours and couldn’t use them at the draft.

I believe North have no such restrictions, btw.

I hope we stay strong on Chol and Hollands. Nothing really to lose. We could make list spots in other ways if we are forced too as well.

All those concessions, in my opinion, devalued our picks and other teams knew it. I am pretty sure it was something like equivalent of 12 1st and 2nd round picks. If AFL was really serious about Suns quick improvement, they would give us extra salary cap. I am sure we would get some A graders if we paid them extra 1M (like Ablett).

I want to believe that we are happy for Chol and Hollands to stay if we don't get acceptable offers. On the other hand, it would clear up 800-900K and armed us to target top players in future :)

Personally, I would let them go. Both decided not work hard sometimes. Both have talent but I did not like their attitude.

Why would you work hard for a coach who had nothing good to say about you?

I remain hopeful that all three of Chol, Hollands and Sharp stay for at least one more year - all are potential A list players under the right conditions, coach and game plan. I'd lose Chol first and put Hollands a little ahead of Sharp but not by much. Probably putting too much pressure on Dimma to turn them around but I'd rather they were playing for us than against us. Burgess etc while good VFL players I was not alarmed to see go. So far there's been no raids on the big names for us - and that's a good thing. King would be looking at the latest gossip about Ugle Hagan's huge offer to go to Magpies though. Need his signature ASAP.

Toby McLean as a rookie?

He can take Blakelys spot. Think 2 ACL’s have just made him a plodder to make it back to AFL level

Seems that the dogs salary cap could be in real strife with clubs coming hard for JUH, English and the recent signing of naughton. Hope we are considering treloar, reckon he's a pretty good fit for a couple years while the likes of Rogers and Lombard develop. All very quiet though doesn't seem like any late surprise for us.

I think we've played our hand.

If there was any real thought about getting players in, we'd have worked on that before we traded all those picks.

A few players out in return for (hopefully) some pick upgrades or future picks (all relatively minor stuff), and that's it.
