Interesting on the F2 for Chol.
Hawthorn seem like they have to get a lot done on the last day of the trade period tomorrow. Wonder if they'll simply run out of time to secure Chol and prioritise guys like Ginnivan, Gunston, Shiel and/or D'Ambrosio instead.

Suits me, I think we’re mad to let Chol go, we are one bad King injury away from him being a number one forward again. Walter, its too early to take the reins and old man Levi couldn’t play 22 games

Chol is contracted and on the average AFL wage, keep him in our pocket unless it’s well worth our while .

Mabiors work ethic has effectively burnt any bridges at the club for his chance to stay. He will get to Hawthorn despite any posturing from the club.

Agree, but imagine Chol’s attitude/ output next year if this trade falls through.

If he doesn’t want to work hard enough to beat out a 34 year old on his last legs and an 18 year old kid then he can say goodbye to the minimum AFL player wage, lest alone the $2 million the Hawks had on the table. Hopefully one day it sinks in for him.

Was this the young fella from the NT that was thrown up as possible pick for us?

Sharp is the example of what happens if you hold too long.
What do you mean?
We got offered like a third or 4th Rd pick for him? Now he is worth nothing? I wouldnt even call that a loss.
He could have done a Flanders and turned it around.
Though he didn’t. Not like we are ever desperate for 100pts in draft value or need the cash for free agency or trade period

Suns didn’t rate Flanders last year also until… 🤔
What’s the worst that we lose if we hold onto him?
2 picks in the 40s?
Obviously

Agree or disagree with decision but Dimma and list manager assessed the list and its future and decided to move on Chol and Hollands. Obviously, we don't get the same return like if we wanted to keep them. I am actually surprised we are still holding on in Chol's trade. IMO, both were depth looking at our list and both with questionable attitude.

On a positive note, we are shedding 1M off the cap.

Been a lot of talk about cap.

Yet who have we brought in Berry and now supposably Peris possibly.

There’s obvious holes in our list small forwards and backs.
Wings.

Spend the damn money.

Maybe next year. Nobody wants to join us probably (until we start actually winning). Maybe Dimma wants to see first what he got already.

Meanwhile enjoy 4 talented academy kids (who will take min several years to develop).
