  • Secure Luke Parker through free agency.
  • Secure Josh Kennedy through free agency.
  • Trade a second/third rounder to secure Jack Payne from Brisbane.
  • Use one of our draft picks to bring in another ruckman. Preferably one that can also play forward/back.
Bang. We pull off these moves and suddenly we're a well rounded team that should be playing finals in 2022.

Luke Parker Big yes.
Kennedy no from me -35 next year ,not worth it for one year at best , also wont move from Perth to GC for small salary.
Jack Payne would be nice but Lions highly unlikely to clear .

He kicked 41 goals in 18 games this year (2.27 goals a game) which includes 3 goals in his most recent game. That doesn't exactly suggest the bloke is washed up. I understand it's a short term solution but it's the kind of move we should be pursuing given our current situation if we aren't able to land another high level experienced forward like Charlie Dixon. If we had kicked an extra 2.3 goals a game this year then we would have won 5 more games in 2021 (12 wins total) and would have played finals.

Think about it this way. If Brisbane had looked at Luke Hodge at the end of 2017 and said 'nah mate, you're about to turn 34 so you're done and can't offer anything to this group' then where would they be right now? I know this is hard for some to believe but the older guys can also offer something to a playing group if they are the right fit for that club and I think Kennedy would be a good fit for our young forward line. Don't forget, we chased Kennedy last year so clearly the club has already thought about this kind of move in the past.

I think Parker and Kennedy would be great addition's for their leadership and what they could offer on field, particularly Parker. Jack Payne, however, just re-signed with the Lions for another three years until the end of 2024, he isn't going anywhere.

They must be worried about Tarrant's ability to stay on the park.
Can be the only thing.
No more broken players

He will be the difference between them rising or not next year. Take him out of their defence and they only have a young Mckay.

He is huge for them. 1-10 without him. Out with a kidney first half of the year

I totally rate him.Just looking for why North isn't valuing him like supporters do.maybe it's the same as supporters not understanding why Rory Atkins gets a 4 year fat deal?Knowns.Known knowns.Known unknowns and unknown unknowns

They may be very aggressive with their rebuild, which is fair enough. For JZ & RT, maybe they want that extra year for financial securities. I wouldn't be happy with our 30+ getting multi years but RT is a hole we need to fill.

2 key defenders for WA the best players versus SA

We should be able to secure at least one of them considering we currently have picks 3, 19 and 22. Plus there is talk of us splitting pick 3 so you'd definitely think we could get at least one highly rated key defender from this draft class. We probably need to draft another ruckman as well.
