I thought we had gone cold on CCJ and/or Chol but obviously we haven't. CCJ would essentially be the perfect pick up for us in a lot of ways because he is a 22 year old forward that is about to enter his prime years physically (just like King) as well as being that big bodied, contest marking beast that we need in our forward line. In June, CCJ was ranked fourth in the competition for most contested marks in the league so that tells you everything you need to know considering he was only 21 years old at the time. His game style should compliment Kingy well and we don't really have to worry about developing him because Richmond have already done it for us over the last four years. We'd also have the twins towers effect going on with 202cm King and 201cm Coleman-Jones being very difficult for opposition defenders to handle. CCJ is from South Australia and we have a good track with record with South Australians so overall I think he'd be a very nice pick up for us that could easily turn into a 10 year player with the club.
Even Chol is potentially a really great pick up for us. He's about to turn 25, 200cm tall and has rotated through the forward line / ruck for most of his time at Richmond. A versatile tall that can plug any holes we have around the ground and address the lack of height we've struggled with lately. I've even seen Chol play as a key defender so there's plenty of options there with him. Chol also grew up on the south side of Brisbane in Acacia Ridge (very close to our academy zone in Logan) so there's the added storyline of bringing a 'Queenslander' home. For context, Secco grew up 20 minutes down the road in Springwood which is inside our academy zone.
