Alright mate, I'll bite. Do you know anything else in terms of what might be holding it up? Has the player just not been convinced of joining us yet or is there something else going on?

I hope your definition of "a very good player" isn't Tom Mitchell because that would be a bit of a let down IMO. Having said that, SUNS seemed to think we were also in discussions with a very good player last week so perhaps there is some thing going on...

Cameron said so much in his interview on the club website - we have difference makers now talking to us for the first time in club history. But in order to accomodate them, we need to get our cap in a position so that we don't have guys running around in the VFL on 600k+. We have money invested in the wrong players, so we're correcting that to bring in the difference makers.

He mentioned that would be from next year, though. I doubt we're bringing in anyone like that this year.

I thought the same but we've got at least two posters on here saying we're currently in discussions with a very good player. Are they lying? Possibly but I decided to entertain the thought this morning.

Tbh, I have concerns about his attitude off-field so don’t rate him as high, but North aren’t going to give him up unless it’s something big given everything going on, so I have no idea what would be fair value there.

I’m not a huge TT fan. If he came, whatever—we’ll see if a new club is good for him. If he doesn’t, I’m also fine.

But if him and JHF leave, then it has to be another “reset” for the club. They bring in a few semi-experienced players and attack the draft like we did, bringing in a core group to try and drive the club. Then they just hope that in 4-6 years the majority of them are still on the list.
