I fully expect Craig Cameron to be going home and playing Madden on franchise to test his theories like this.
Pfft, See there's our problem he needs to be playing NCAA 06 on PS2
He's going home to watch Kevin Costner in Draft Day.

Rumour has it he has a picture of Sonny Weaver Jr on his wall.

Craig Cameron dealing with Adelaide re: Rankine . . . .

Relax. 7 weeks in the USA I will be back to my normal size in no time!
Don't know if BigFooty is ready for even bigger red machine

Sydney has one of the best backlines..
Yet they bringing in Francis.. on the cheap mind u.
Would of loved bringing him into the Suns. Best 22 for me.

Free up Ballard ASAP
You mustn't have working eyes if you think Aaron Francis would be best 22.
He is shithouse, his weapon is supposed to be intercept marking and he is average at best. No good 1v1 either, loses almost 40% of his 1v1s in 2021 when playing as a defender, Caleb Graham who gets lambasted on here something shocking, only loses 28% of his.
He also only averaged the same amount of intercept marks in 2021 (played as a forward this year) as Caleb did this season.

I've always liked Jed Anderson - I was keen for the Suns to draft him. It's no surprise that North seriously struggled in the midfield when he didn't play this year. He adds a lot of hardness and grunt.

Would he play in our midfield if everyone is fit? Probably not - but he'd be great backup to have. I'd have him over Fiorini, Constable, Tsitas, etc.

No brainer for me.

One thing for sure is we need to Increase our rotations in the midfield, geelong have players that play 90-95% game time so there midfielders can have a high rotation in the midfield, lloydy was saying that they would often get 2 breaks per quarter to Sydney's 1.

Not sure if Anderson is the one to break in or not, he's probably still better than Davies and Flanders at this stage, but worth a look

State of play.

Jack Bowes

After taking some time to make his decision, Bowes nominated Geelong ahead of Essendon and Hawthorn as his preferred new club. The Cats will take the remaining two years of the Gold Coast midfielder's backended contract, with a four-year deal likely at GMHBA Stadium. Cats and Suns officials met with the AFL on Friday to discuss details of the deal, including the salary dump elements, with a trade in-principle agreed upon. It looks more likely to see a future third-round selection head to the Suns in exchange for Bowes and pick No.7.

Izak Rankine

The framework of a deal taking Rankine to Adelaide has been settled, though negotiations have been held up by Gold Coast's dealings elsewhere. The Crows will part with pick No.5 and a future third-round selection to secure the exciting goalkicker, while the two clubs will also swap some later picks between this year and next year's drafts. Rankine has long been destined for a return home and will take up a lucrative long-term offer to sign with the Crows.

Brayden Fiorini

Collingwood is keen on Fiorini and taking the remaining season of his back-ended contract for little cost. Held to just 29 games over the last three years with Gold Coast, the midfielder is looking for more opportunities and could find them under Craig McRae. The player's manager, Dave Trotter, said last week that it was likely a deal for Fiorini could go late in the window. But expect the two clubs to swap later picks to strike a trade for the 25-year-old.

Jeremy Sharp

Gold Coast is determined to retain Sharp, who is under contract for next season but wants to explore an opportunity with Fremantle. The Dockers had initially hoped to tie the young wingman into negotiations around Josh Corbett, but were unable to strike a deal and instead chose to complete the trades independently. Expect the Suns to demand at least a second-round selection, should they ultimately part with the 20-year-old.

Sharp is probably the one that may not get done, given what Freo need to give up for Jackson.

GWS considering taking humphrey at 3 (lol) gives us a chance at one of the big 5, just hoping it wouldn’t be cadman because we absolutely do not need him

That would be ideal.
Potentially we hold 5 to see if Tsatas is available.

If not, trade the pick to someone like St Kilda for their 1st rd and a future 2nd.

Then take Hollands with St Kilda pick.

TBH that's a lot of depth there, like GWS the Suns will never win a premiership unless the AFL increases the salary cap for the two expansion teams, draft picks means nothing if they leave within a couple of years

I'd be worried if it's Sheezel that falls to us, he might be too good to refuse. I can understand if GWS want a medium fwd/mid they would take Humphrey instead. Seems like a reach at 3 though.

Agreed Cadman is a waste of a pick for our situation.

Cadman doesn't make sense at all, Sheezel is supposedly a large flight risk. Tsatas would be the dream to slide. Elijahs on each wing 💦💦 sign me the **** up

Speak for yourself mate
I am , we have been decimated more than u guys . What I am saying is the current system ain't working , it's still very much the VFL. Why do you think the last game before a draft is always a Vic Country v Vic Metro game (to increase the number of Vic kids drafted) .We both lose 4 or 5 good players each year and then Collingwood and Melbourne make huge noises when they.lose a Henry or Jackson
