Whatever Nathan Brown tips, do the opposite. That campaigner is cooked.

Carlton vs Geelong Prediction

Thursday, March 23, 7:20pm AEDT - MCG

Heavy lies the crown? Reigning premiers Geelong were sensational beaten by Collingwood in round one, as they began their title defence in the worst possible way.
Their opposition this week Carlton did what they do best and threw away another win, as they drew with Richmond in the season curtain raiser.
Despite their opening round loss, Geelong are still brimming with top tier talent, although Carlton will surely be thinking along the lines of “if it bleeds, we can kill it.”
No draws here, we fancy Carlton to capitalise against a recently-rocked Cats outfit and condemn them to back-to-back losses to start the season.

Carlton vs Geelong Tips

I give Carlton a huge chance to send Geelong 0-2. The loss of Tom Stewart, who is their most important player opens up the game for Curnow and McKay, but I think the real advantage lies in Carltons small fleet doing damage, Durdin, Owies, Motlop, Martin & Fisher.

Browny's Call: Tribet - Either Team by 15 or Less @ $2.60

Actually I asked it why Nathan Brown couldn't get a winning multi up to save his life and it told me "it is important to remember that sports betting is a complex and unpredictable activity that involves a degree of chance. It is not uncommon for even experienced bettors to experience losing streaks or to make unsuccessful wagers..."

"While placing 207 multis and not getting a single bet to win might be a disappointing outcome, it does not necessarily mean that the individual is not knowledgeable or experienced in the world of sports betting"

not sure if its already been mentioned but Ollie Henry has a power play on him that boosts his odds for 3 from @7.25 t0 10.44 he is my first train of the night

2,3,4 @2.80, 10.44, 23 im tempting if i go 5 or not, the old carlton sucked at defending medium sized forwards but thats when lachie plowman use to play aha
Dangerfield 1,2,3 @1.80, 5.40, 18

Rohan 2,3 @3.15, 9

Motlop 1,2,3 @1.85, 5.60, 21

Durdin 1,2,3 @1.97, 6.25, 26

josh bruce will 95% play forward but im betting him for 2/3/4 in case something strange happens, could be an injury in game, odds are too juicy for a small speck, named interchange also but teams look like he will down back but JUST INCASE

2/3/4 @ 17/91/1000 on 365

Both teams love AFL Fantasy Points scoring, as mentioned in an earlier post.

Done a 6 legger at PointsBet as paper I feel Carltons midfielder is stronger in this game.

You have Acres, Cripps, Ed Curnow, Cerra, Kennedy up against Danger (older now and slower), Bowes, Bruhn, Holmes, Guthrie.

I noticed Guthrie got a bit less of the ball last week.

Cerra Over 93.5 AFL Fantasy points
Matthew Kennedy Over 94.5 AFL Fantasy Points
Blake Acres Over 81.5 AFL Fantasy Points
Zach Tuohy 90+ AFL Fantasy Points
Zac Fisher 70+ AFL Fantasy Points
Patrick Cripps 100+ AFL Fantasy Points

Odds: $76.98

Sup guys. Round 1 was mental. Managed to walk out with +2.99 units after going 1-8 on the first two games. Hoping for a nicer start this week.

Carlton vs Geelong
3u - Stengle 2+ goals - $2.25 - 365
1u - Stengle 3+ goals - $4.50 - 365

Started off the year with 2.0, Last year he went an impressive 17/25 for 2+, 12/25 for 3+, these odds are top notch given that sort of a success. Carlton tend to get damaged by the smaller forwards a bit as some of their smalls focus on running the other way. We also see quality in Weitering and McGovern which force teams to bring the ball to ground.

2.5u - Cerra over 24.5 disposals - $1.87 - Pointsbet
Burnt by him last week but have to back it given the situational spot. Regularly thrived last season when someone missed from the Carlton midfield where he hit this mark in 6/8 games. Disappointing start last week, but expecting a bounce back as he now becomes the clear number 2 mid in the side.

2u - Cam Guthrie over 90.5 fantasy points - $1.87 - Pointsbet
Having a crack at Guthrie here, has gotten rid of the dreads but still provides value! Was the number one CBA player for the Cats last week but had a low game in what was a general low scoring fantasy game for the Cats that was well below the worst average in 2022. I full well expect Guthrie to bounce back tonight, against a slightly weaker Carlton midfield. The numbers stack up well for Guthrie in 2022 having cleared this in 15/23 games with an average of 97.2 and a median of 98 (injured games removed).

1.5u - Mckay 2+ goals - $1.70 - 365
1u - Mackay 3+ goals - $3.30 - 365

Not often we get a price like this on Harry Mckay. Happy to jump on given the Cats are without Kolodjashnij, Stewart, and are playing SDK who may still be carrying a niggle from round 1.

Sydney vs Hawthorn
2.5u - Sydney -20.5 (Second Half Line) - $1.90 - Ladbrokes

Sydney showed on the weekend that they have no effects from the premiership loss and will again be a contender for the flag. They come up against the Hawks who are now favourites for the spoon after being belted by Essendon. We can expect Hawthorn to come out firing in response of their disapointing finish to the game however they don't have the capabilities to stick with the Swans for four quarters. Sydney may start slow due to the potential of this one being perceived as an easy win but should get themselves into it and make sure the four points are locked away. Sydney were number 1 and 2 in third and fourth quarters last year which highlights their ability to run out games and also over teams. Hawks fitness looks questionable also, many young guys not matured to AFL footy yet appeared to be struggling in the late parts of the game on the weekend.

And a straight up bet on Zac Fisher 100+ AFL Fantasy Points at $21.00 . He scored 101 against Geelong last year.

That’s so good it almost seems sus. Heard it’s no max stake too. Inb4 one goes off with a ‘hammy’ before half time but man I’d be loading on that if I had 365
