I think total goal involvements is a better criteria and also capping it at 3 tall forwards.

Going from that the AA forwards were all excellent choices and Larkey worthy of his spot on the bench.

Stewart has been far below Sicily both years, and far below other defenders 2 years in a row.

He is a budget defender, so its probably an appropriate title.

The objective best defender of the past half-decade is a 'budget' defender. Take the emotion out of it and realise how silly you sound because of your Geelong obsession. We're talking about a future hall of famer here, he's played just seven years and is already a premiership + 5x AA player. When it comes to the career of defenders currently in the game it's Tom Stewart then everyone else competing for second. Rozee is just the spare mid and they always pick one. He was either going to be HF or on the bench what’s the difference? Makes more sense than Larkey on the HFF

But that would be Petracca in this team specifically.

No, it’s not new at all, they’ve always named an AA umpire. Boundary and goals might be more recent additions though, but they’ve named them before.

Your idea of statistics and interpreting them is quite laughable. The guy kicked 23 goals as one of richmonds main targets inside fifty. Was in and out of games. Had plenty of useless cheap stats. Hardly had an influence.

He didnt deserve it, and has struggled to deserve a spot most of his career. Besides the Richmond premiership seasons he has not been AA caliber his entire career

Ok sure, and he was selected as a general defender in the AA team with Moore and Wilkie selected as the KPDs.

Doing good in a very good team usually makes you look better. It usually would take something akin to statistically anomolies for a player performing well in a poor side to be recognised
