Amazing that playing against an interstate team our crowd was only 600 less than the Pies / Demons the night before!

Take a bow the Blues faithful who endured the Ticketek frustrations and Melbourne’s arctic blast to witness such an amazing win!

Proud to be there 7 rows from the front with my 2 teenage sons to witness their first ever final.

GO BLUES 💙

yeah, really. Sapped momentum big time twice.....

He gets paid huge money to drop the ball onto his boot accurately. I know its a long way down, but really a league footballer cant miss two gimmes in a cuthroat final
Cripps gets paid big money to hit targets out of the middle.................the old "he gets paid big money to kick goals" is wrong by a long way. Go look who set up the most scores in the team.......H.............McKay

Mine was awesome, full of passionate blue boys, had a great chat with an elderly blue, complete stranger however we had the best yarn. He flew over from Adelaide for it talk about commitment.
If that would have been a finals win 25 years ago, the train ride home would have been a rocking. Last night it was seriously eerily quiet. We were all pleased as punch, do not for a second get me wrong, but I for one was just absolutely exhausted. Players and fans left nothing in the tank after that win.

The last 25 years has changed us. We no longer expect, we are now appreciative and humble …. Better qualities.

Yeah, I think the build-up to the first final in a decade got the better of his nerves with those two shots, otherwise he played a solid game.

That first one when he was running into goal was bad luck. He had more time than he thought, and just came down onto the side of his foot. If it had gone through I reckon the second one would have gone through too. It’s a fine line for Harry

Four of their nine goals came from midfielders.
Haven’t watched the reply yet but McLean was their second best player - and seemed Weitering was his primary match-up?

I don’t think Weitering was always on him but there were definitely times he was and McLean just kept dominating anyway.

Melbourne will pose a different challenge but Fritsch, Tom McDonald, Smith, Grundy/Schache are a far cry from McLean, Amartey, Logan McDonald, who were all pretty great forwards.

But he didn't. The opposite happened and had a huge negative effect on the rest of the team... it completely deflated us. If you want to play hypotheticals, what if Sydney kicked straighter and won by a touch under two goals? Everyone would be looking at those misses from practically in front.

We can point to assists/involvements all we like, but in the crunch when he's got the easiest shots on goal and fluffs them, that poor kicking on goal undoes some of that. Whether we like it or not, he has to nail goals like that because we won't be as lucky against a team like Brisbane if we manage to get that far.

Happy to be proven wrong, but his confidence was shot after that point and likely would've missed more shots. It happened mid-year and it happened again in an EF. In a final you really can't afford that kind of brain-fade.
Sadly I’m with you Thrawn. Love H, he is in when fit but that goal kicking shit has no place in a final.

Melbourne has the most underwhelming forward structure right now.
Petracca is their biggest forward threat followed by Kosi Pickett.
Maybe Gawn plays more forward but I would see that as a win for us.

What a game, what a win.

Charlie quiet, I rekon he would be wanting to dominate next week.

Acres equal BOG with Cottrell, who was amazing, stood up when we needed him to.

Cripps was well held but stood up when he needed to, built for finals some of our boys and can't wait for next week.

When that final siren rang, 10 years of pain and heart ache, a weight lifted from the shoulders of all at the stadium. What a feeling!

A lot more than 10 years if you ask me.
This type of grit and fight in Carlton has been gone since 95.
It is not just making finals or winning one.
It's believing we can.

For supporters that's the greatest thing.

The first miss he kicked off the ground and it went into the post

I don’t believe this is correct
