Guys, I keep deleting posts referencing this, but can we move away from suggesting or making juvenile jokes about the bloodlines of players.

This is a public forum and parents of players do read here.

might be hoping he slips through to the rookie draft?
If we don’t nominate we can’t match and if he does slip through we can pre select him so wouldn’t make sense. Only reason I know like the situation with Ned Maginness is if you weren’t getting drafted not nominating allows you to retain FS status next year. That isn’t relevant here though as sounds like there are other interested clubs.

Can an ITK confirm if Dear has been nominated? Thought MM mentioned hawks were nominating 2 FS?
I feel like we would know by now, especially with the McCabe news today, if the club was going to nominate him.

Calsher seems such an odd prospect though, most places I've read about him have had him as a late pick in the national draft, others say he's a rookie prospect. But then I saw an article the other day and they mentioned him as being in the pick 30 range of the ND.

But by the same token we knew about Ned not being nominated but not Dear, so werid...unless we haven't made a decision and we're assessing some delisted players?

FFS Hawthorn KPPs are so hard to find. He looks like he something we could work on. Take a punt on a late pick MM.
without appreciating the standard of those games, I am definitively taking Dear based on these highlights. A little reminiscent of his dad in the long striding and composed playing style.

It would be a lovely scenario to have young Dear on the list

It's one set of highlights, but looks like a big unit and a super strong player for his age, like the 2nd coming of his dad. Unreal.

Is every bit of his 88 KG playing weight.

Going to be a monster forward if he can find a way to get separation on the lead at the highest level. Judgement, leap, hands, kicking all there.

Looks oddly David Neitz like too somehow.

He appears to be on a serious upward trajectory. Worth a punt even if we need to take him in the nd. Back our development in as he has some tools. I really like his instincts at ground level too.
Agree. Hope we are just trying to keep him low key.

Gotta get both McCabe and Dear. Both tall with a point of difference. One seems athletic and quick while the other plays strong and is more bollocking …… but both seem good in the air. Exciting times it’s really coming together with our list 👍🤞
Agreed 100%. I've been banging on about Curtin, and I still think he's an excellent prospect, but if we got those two we probably wouldn't need him, and we could grab someone else in that top 5.

Unfortunately, it won't happen in that order....
