The way Fremantle have played so far this year always makes me think back to when they played us in Round 1 and Longmuir was interviewed pre-game, saying that he was nervous and didn't know what to expect from his side. Some said they liked the honesty but I just found it a bit odd, surely if you've implemented an elite program you'd be confident that your players would deliver.

I wouldn't be surprised if something is going on internally there given how highly touted they were heading into the year and how badly they've underperformed so far.

Agreed. Found it a strange admission. They weren't ready, like they started late for some reason. They do seem a bit lacking on field, as always with that team. Even in Ross's day there were always a few weak spots.

Got told years ago that the Freo admin was very provincial and very insular, they undermine the coach at every opportunity, especially if the coach is from 'the east'.

This directly from the coach sacked for RTB to take over. Ross has also mentioned similar.
