On a completely unrelated topic, I understand that Tom McCartin will miss this week due to symptomatic concussion issues: severe headaches.
This is a month after his injury.
Does anyone know if he has played any games since the injury?
Has anyone heard anything from Paddy?

As a layman, this sounds like the two have a predisposition for concussion injuries and Tom has just been lucky. Is such a predisposition real or just me jumping to conclusions?

I believe Tom played on the weekend didn't cop any knocks but started getting headaches after the game

Whatever he says, whatever waffle.....it always has more content than any of your drivel! What is it with you guys? No matter how long one stays away whenever I relent and give it another chance, you few in your group of self adulators are speaking absolute s**t......if not about something then trying to run someone down. Moderate? Mutual masturbation maybe......Give it a rest!

Thanks Mowie, hate this stuff.
Never wish injuries upon anyone.
Wonder what it is. I played footy for 15yrs and had to stop because in my last year (U21's) I started to get ocular migraines during games. Not being able to see out of one of your eyes isn't the best for a contact sport lol. Perhaps the headaches for Tom is something similar. Reduced blood flow.

Whether you think the Van Rooyen suspension was fair or not Brad Green getting a please explain from the AFL for Twitter posts saying the suspension was stupid on the same day the appeals board said the suspension was stupid is PEAK mrp/mro/appeals board shit housery.

That system is hilariously ****ed.

Well I don't really expect it, but hopefully the tigers can make some sort of a match tonight against the cats. They don't look that bad on paper, hard to know why they've been so sh!t this year. Obviously Tom Lynch out for months doesn't help, but we've done alright without Max King. Along with Carlton, I'd say probably the most disappointing team so far this year, their tie to start the season probably told us more than we realised at the time. Certainly appears neither are playing finals this year, and that makes me happy, particularly the blues. 🥴 Had a bit of a soft spot for the tiges there for a while (maybe the Riewoldt connection) but f*ck 'em, they've had their time in the sun. Can see them being in the purgatory of 10th to 15th for the next few years. It's a good thing for Shai he won a premiership early in his career, as being signed with the tigers until 2028, it would seem that that horse has Bolton.

Edit- Sorry for the dad joke. I'm not even a dad. 💩

They've done similar to what the Hawks did when they got Mitchell and O'Meara, traded away the future for the present.
I said it about Hawthorn then and I'll say it about Richmond now, in three or four years when the kids they could have drafted would be regular players they won't have Reiwoldt, Cotchin, Martin and whoever else will have retired, that's when the real problems will arise.

They've tried to copy Geelong without realising that Geelong have been feeding kids through also. Guys like Close, Miers, SDK etc have been getting games while they topped up with vets as well.

Geelong also have the greatest home ground advantage in the comp so their results are always going to be skewed.

What I can't understand from a Richmond POV is when you have a legit match winner in Cumberland and you keep dropping or sitting him down as the sub.

Imagine putting Cumberland in our side right now? Fremantle would LOVE him as well. So would Geelong, Port and Essendon.

If he played for Collingwood he'd be fighting it out for the Coleman lol.

But for... reasons... he's not getting a game at the Tigers. Feels like how they kept dropping Caddy, even when he was kicking goals. Like Hardwick knows it's a valuable role to the team, but hates the blokes that have the natural talent to play it?

It's bizarre...

The alleged knock on Cumberland is he goes missing defensively. If that’s the reality then he wouldn’t make a Ross Lyon team either.

Tom played the last two weeks. I believe Paddy still has symptoms. Probably drawing a long bow to joint those dots Sunny. I’m not sure Tom has had any issues with concussion prior to this year.

Paddy is diabetic and there are links between that condition and concussion. If that's the reason he is "prone" to concussion, then its not the same for his brother.

Which is nuts because only Nankervis, Taranto, Graham & Hopper ave more tackles per game than Noah.

Sounds like the traits of a bottom four team to me.

They have actually drafted okay but their kids are very young. I actually think they'll do an Adelaide and go backwards short term but come back hard. Taranto an Hopper have at least 5 to 7 years left and should be good bricks in the foundation.

Just started watching a few minutes ago, but these two teams look great, I don't get how Richmond have won so few games this season.

Mitch Knevitt looks fantastic too; I was one who was into us drafting him, but I guess it was a bit of a reach, and hopefully Nasiah will have the better career with us.

Funny how some names are more popular with certain clubs.

Adelaide - Rory
Brisbane -
Carlton -
Collingwood - Branden/Brayden
Essendon -
Fremantle -
Geelong - Mitch
Gold Coast -
GWS -
Hawthorn -
Melbourne -
North -
Port Adelaide -
Richmond - Shane
St Kilda - Jack
Sydney -
West Coast - Dom
Western - Bailey

Ah yeah, not willing to put that much thought into this one
