The Dutch are a strange side. They are more than likely going to get pumped but also have a heap of players who can pull unbelievable performances from nowhere. See Nidamanuru and van Beek v West Indies and de Leede v Scotland at the qualifiers.

But then in a warm up against Karnataka a couple of weeks ago they collapsed to be 7/3 with every one of their top 7 making a duck (the last wicket partnership ended up putting on 87 to get them to 123). That's just the kind of side they are.

Their bowling was mostly cannon fodder at the qualifiers but the inclusions of Roelof van der Merwe and Paul van Meerkeren who they didn't have available at the qualifiers should strengthen it somewhat.

I find it difficult not to see Shaheen Shah Afridi ripping through their top order with the new ball though.

Is there a scorecard for that game against Karnataka? Been on the hunt for it.

Netherlands apparently want to make it too semis, I think they should be focusing on winning games first. Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are probably their better opportunities for this.

As for Pakistan, not having Naseem in there due to injury is going to make it tough for them. And Shaheen Shah is already very injury prone, as seen in the T20 WC and earlier this year. Originally had them tipped for a top 4 finished but this injury, and possible injury would have me worried

Saud Shakeel has the ability to be very very good. Hopefully I've put the mock on him because up the ****ing oranje.

Unfortunately I missed most of that World Cup as I was living in the US at the time and none of the games were shown live on tv there.

I only watched the semi finals and final live at a cinema in Washington DC run by Indians who had hooked up a satellite connection.
Even through the old idiot box all those little history drenched venues gave off a good vibe, the minnow matches had atmosphere.

Loved the ground with a tree inside the boundary.
