Injury 2023 Injury report

Hard to say given the VFL team list on the CFC hasn't been updated. Playing Coburg though so shouldn't be that much of an issue and we do have a couple of talls in Eyre and Silvagni who didn't get a run on the weekend. Johnson has also played that 2nd ruck role previously.

Begg was getting treatment at quarter time in the Cats practice match on his back. He had a massive abrasion across his lower back. Obviously why he had restricted minutes after half time.

Ed Delaney is 200cm. Can play forward and ruck, we prob rotate him and Oscar

What happened to Dean? I knew he’d been sidelined with injury but hadn’t he been training in the rehab group over summer?

Pretty good result, when you think how bad it looked

I’m guessing two bones were involved (radius and ulna)

Two bones with four fractures = six bits of bone

Compound just means there’s bits of bone breaking skin, yeah? (risk of infection?)

Fly said he should be OK, he did say it was just a dislocation. Might not have all the facts
Surely the club would have immediately known if the injury was a dislocation or a fracture? If the nature of the injury was for some unknown reason in doubt yesterday, surely it would have been known by this time!

Fly's quote was from the press conference straight after the game. He would have gotten more info since. Hopefully good news, but maybe not.

Wouldn't the injury have been diagnosed last night or this morning at latest? I am sure Mihochek would know the difference between a dislocated or broken finger. I wouldn't have given it a second thought if not for the reports of blood seeping from the area, with some suggestion of a compound fracture.

I'd assume they'd know by now.

Just suggesting that straight after the game, Fly might not know and Checkers would probably claim to be fine if he copped Howe's injury

Buckley I think it was said something about it having to be a fracture as well, in a clumsy attempt to laud Mihocek’s toughness and stubbornness to stay on the ground as a rule.

In reality, we were 7 goals up at the time, and a dislocated finger is a very easy diagnosis for even a footballer to make, hence the immediate decision to run off for treatment.

I wouldn’t overthink it.

I think the club has known for hours but they just like to **** with our heads!

Unfortunately I am the sort of person who overthinks everything. I try to follow the advice of Thai people - 'Don't think too much', but thoughts and fears continue to flood my brain, not helped by the club sitting on knowledge they could make public.

I thought he split his webbing, now it's a fracture or even a compound fracture, fmd. There is no way he is playing next week either way
With my anxiety levels spilling over the sides of my brain cavity, I have written him off for the year. I am now contemplating whether jumping from my 6th storey balcony will in fact put an end to the torment I am suffering, or see me occupying a bed in the spinal unit of the Alfred hospital. All for the sake of a simple announcement from the club.
