2023 BigFooty MEGA Tipping!
Are you the ultimate tipster?
Chief and I are running a new tipping contest - Chief will be advising the prize for the winners in the near future.
We will post a ton of major sporting events (and some quirky ones) over the next 12 months.
Just tip each one for points.
Watch this thread for new events as they are released.
How do I play?
Polls will be posted for each individual tip.
To tip, just vote in each poll.
The polls will all be linked from this thread see below! Also, hit Watch Thread to make sure you are alerted to each new event.
Some of these tipping opportunities will be a season-long process (AFL Grand Final Finalists, AFL Coleman Medal Winner, NRL Grand Finalists, Dally M winner, etc).
Some of the tips will be released a few weeks in advance of the event on the appropriate sub-boards (UFC Middleweight Champion at the end of October, Melbourne Cup Winner, etc) and the poll will be locked prior to the event starting.
Scoring
For every correct tip, you will be allocated 1 point (or more if declared in this thread).
There will be bonuses for being the only person to tip a particular winner - usually double points. This gives our hardcore followers of a particular sport the chance to get extra points for roughies nobody else sees.
How long does it run for?
Tipping starts... now!
This tipping competition will come to a close at some stage before the start of the 2024 AFL season, pending on tipping markets that are available in early 2024.
The winner will be declared when the 2023/24 tipping competition comes to a close and it will be the participant with the most points.
There will also be winners for each of 4 legs of the comp - each leg will be about 3 months.
NOTE:
In every poll that isn't locked into 'teams' or a small-ish fixed number of possible winners, there will be an 'other' option for any other submissions.
If your tip isn't listed as a poll option, select Other and make a post with your tip. Spell names correctly. Spell these names correctly in your post or the tip may be missed by our patented Tip-o-bot-o-tron Programme.
