What a joke that "game" was - they multiple blokes done at MRO, but get gilt edged umpiring to drag them over the line.

so let me get this straight, durds puts on a perfect shepherd (which is legal) and just because of gary rohan's piss poor peripheral vision, cops a week because rohan was concussed. now Tom Barrass has apparently braced himself after disposing of the ball and braces for contact with viney. he hits viney in the head and viney gets concussed but somehow barrass deosn't get a week. apparently barass didn't elect to bump. umm let me just provide the meaning of bump.

noun
  1. a light blow or a jolting collision.
verb

1. knock or run into someone or something with a jolt.

but he didn't elect to bump. ok michael chirstian you pillock. now dont get me wrong, i dont think barass should have been suspended because contact is part of the game and i dont think it was deliberate but neither should have durds been suspended. and hasn't the AFL made it clear that if you make contact with a players head and you concuss them, then you will be suspended. i guess that mainly applies to north payers. its no wonder the fans are going ape shit when you have these pea brains running the show.

Robbo trying to defend Andrews with a 'what's he supposed to do? The North player could have run over and punched him' defence.

I don't know Robbo, not elbow other ****ing player in the face for starters you nimrod.

He gets paid '000s of thousands a year to come up with this shit.

Astounding.

Unless Larks had to go off because of it, or there was something in the injury report, I personally think it isn't worth a suspension. Looked like a misjudged push with the arm to me, and while that isn't a defence I still don't think it looked particularly forceful. I'd be a tad mad if one of ours went for that. If that's an accurate representation of what Robbo said though, then that is one of the most brain dead takes I've ever heard. Forwards block for eachother 10,000 times a game. Idiocy.

I'm not sure whether Andrews should miss a week for that. It was to the lower part of the head though and lucky no damage was done because I seem to recall last year, some nameless bloke hit one of the Brayshaws with a motion that went high and broke his jaw, resulting in a very long suspension.

More to the point though - well there was some point to the comparison - did Nick get a free kick? I'll guess the answer is no.

Pretty sure he did actually. I certainly remember him getting one close to goals as a kick came in a bit further up.

Yes, he did get a free kick. The umpire saw it... Not only that, but Andrews was actually reported by the umpire. He may not have done the old turn him around and write down his number action, but they don't have to anymore.

Yep it was the stupidest thing I have heard in a long time - even for Robbo.

It was blatantly clear that Larkey was coming over to simply put a block on for Brown, nothing else.
