The other Reid is supposed to be a decent KPF, too.

I’d want to see a fair bit of improvement from Archer Reid this year if I was to consider him a top 5-8 pick.

He is going to be a Comben type who is highly mobile but I’m not sure he is the big contested marking, physical full forward that we desperately need.

Caddy & Walter are the more physical key forwards in this draft pool, shame that Walter is GC bound.

i reckon he will fall in that 15-20 range he might even be a later pick ala Lemmey/Scully last year

not quite the top talent of some others in this draft

I didn't realise that he was so lowly rated.

Is Caddy a true KPF or more of a tweener?

Would you be willing to cop another spoon for him? I’m a bit torn, the thought of another spoon is gross but then I watch clips of Reid and think it just might be worth it.
If neither us or Port win the spoon, reckon our best hope would be WCE finish bottom, and trade #1 for our 2 first rounders with an eye on local talent. In which case I would say thankyou very much Fabian Francis enjoy your Chinese car cause we just traded in a Rolls Royce.

Maybe the same reason i am here? Bordem and over preseason. So reviewing all clubs opinions on the 2023 draft and looking for super coach players.

An plus i am a Clarko supporter.
On the topic of supercoach, who's a must at the hawks apart from Sicily? Worpel? Any kids making big gains?

He is probably borderline top 10-15 at the moment, but still a a lot to play out.

Caddy plays like a power key forward in the Dixon mould, but at this stage he is only 192cm. Fingers crossed he grows this year and ends up being 195+cm

Has he got a leap on him

Im not put off by drafting interstate kids at all. We have plenty on the list.

Yeah, but so does Jacob Edwards. I'm always a bit coy on the 200+cm key forwards. The vast majority of them don't work out. Not many have the marking/agility combination of the King Twins and not many have the natural forward craft of Peter Wright.

In saying that I've only seen him play twice, and he had some good games as an underage player.

Two key position players to watch who I really like are Logan Morris and Coen Livingstone.

Livingstone is 197cm and 86kg. Has a bit of power in his game and doesn't mind flying for the footy. Going to be a monster once he fills out completely.

Logan Morris plays for the Western Jets and is 193cm. Kicked 31.14 as an under-ager last year. Still stacks of growth in his game too.

Be interesting to see what sanctions the Hawks get over the treatment of indigenous players.
I doubt there will be any to be honest.

1. Were told the main couple with the unborn baby refuse to speak to the AFL.

2. It is reported the famlies are not head hunting the Hawks or coaches, they are asking for both to be aware, learn and do better.

3. Hawks instigated the report, clearly looking to improve.

In my personal opinion all clubs should do simula reviews.

Its interesting times and balances in the world today.

I feel for ex Roo Anderson, suprised he was let go especially as you picked up Howe.

Mackenzie and Weddle are tipped to debut early.

I have Will Phillips and Goater on my watch list for the roo's. Anyone else? Ty
Phillips a must. Not sure about Goater at that price having played 1 game Cunnington not that much dearer dpp if he returns to his best. There's talk of Sheezel playing off half back, in what could be a Daicos type intro to AFL played junior mainly forward but some big stats when he went into the middle, thomas was set to move back but Sheezel could be his replacement there with clean disposal. Drury on my watch list certainly doing everything right expected to play some games. Reckon Bonar could be value too at 270k or whatever it is, I'm keen to see what his role would be if McKay, Logue, and Corr are fit. Bon seems to be fit, be interesting if he's freed up to provide some run, surely couldn't get any cheaper if he's fit and plays. Premium price, but I have LDU probably a touch underpriced as Noble played him out of position a lot last year, and by all reports gone to a whole new level. Yeah I have McKenzie on my watch list.

Because of the players the Hawks let go, It’s my opinion that they are tanking this year to bring in some high draft picks. Most likely pick 1. Don’t blame them for it, definitely needed some more top shelf young players coming through.
We had O'Meara and Mitchell for 5 years and our midfield was the worst in the AFL. An were finishing low on the ladder. We didnt exactly trade away the best midfield.

Both great players individually, as a team just failed. McEvoy retired and Gunston choose F/A.

I am quiet excited to see a midfield of Worpel, Newcombe, Ward, C.MacDonald, Day, Moore, Maginness, Nash and MacKenzie.

We lost shiels whos best is past him, an brought in Amon who at his peak.

Exciting times ahead for both teams, will be a roller coaster ride for us fans.
