l like this idea as a great way to remember a giant of the game…..let see soft utensils argue against this
Hell of a recency effect going on
If that's really it, and if WC won't take a reasonable trade for Reid, surely we trade down the McKay compo. Not that I agree with it from a list balance perspective but there is still some rumblings of a Sanders/McKercher combination being picked by us at 2/3.
I’m of the opinion that Curtin isn’t in our top 5. I think we sit somewhere like (not including Walter):
1. Reid
2. Sanders
3. Mckercher
4. Watson
5. Duursma
Came in here expecting it and wasn’t disappointed.Hell of a recency effect going on
That's not always a bad thing. It shows that a club is paying attention to the trends being demonstrated by successful teams.Hell of a recency effect going on
I don't know who the hell to take at these early picks anymore. I reserve the right to change my mind at least 100 times on who I want us to draft lol. Reid looks like the only no-brainer. McKercher looks good to me but who knows.Hell of a recency effect going on
But is that really true or are we just hoping it is?Quick small forwards who can pressure & kick goals are like gold … hint , hint .
If want an a grader for thatAssuming we get 3 for McKay, I think what we should do is take our pick of Sanders/McKercher and then put Pick 3 on the market. Tell the clubs with picks 3-7 or so, if you want to go next and swipe the guy you want before anyone else gets their shot, it's available, but it's going to cost you. Moving down the order with a sweetener is better than just stupidly taking best available without thinking about list balance, but passing over a guy you rate higher because he's in a position you're stacked with is a bad move too.
We won't have any say, so I think that whoever we take I will get excited for.I don't know who the hell to take at these early picks anymore. Remember Chubbs, you ain't got no say on it......I don't know who the hell to take at these early picks anymore. I reserve the right to change my mind at least 100 times on who I want us to draft lol. Reid looks like the only no-brainer. McKercher looks good to me but who knows.

Gotta say I really doubt he goes in the top 4. As good as he looks no recruiter is going to want to be the guy who spent a top pick on a 170cm small forward while the big bodied stallion midfielders taken after him go on to be champions of the league. It's hardly fair on him but height matters. I bet he'll still be on the board if we trade down.no we must get watson
Sandals and robes are fine right…?The only thing I learnt from today's grand final is my position on puffy shirts hasn't changed. They look stupid, even worse in orange.
Could be available at one of our later picks, we‘d want to be sure he can address his areas for improvement. If we don’t get Watson - we still need to bring in small forwards
Not with a puffy shirtSandals and robes are fine right…?
From our last game, against Gold Coast, with Jack and Luke absent, we were much better transitioning the ball out of defence without turning it over.I agree. I think Watson will probably kick more goals than Reid so it wouldn't be worth breaking the bank to get Reid. If the cost isn't unreasonable I say sure, go for it, but this 3 first round picks I think is a bit ridiculous.
I also think the main reason we aren't winning games is we don't have a midfield that gels well together atm. I don't know if it is the players or the line coaches, but we got rid of our midfield coach and haven't had a midfield line coach that has either stuck around very long or been very good at getting the structures or connection right. That needs to be resolved.
Could be available at one of our later picks, we‘d want to be sure he can address his areas for improvement.
“Regardless of the team or the stage, Delean just kicked goals, finishing with 53 from 20 games across all levels”
