Tom De Koning is the perfect player to partner Marshall
Is out of contract end of the year
If not at Carlton will be at the Bombers I think

Grew up a Saints fan. Everyone thinks that one day a player will take romance over dollars and join us to fulfil their childhood dream. Perhaps he's the one.

They got smashed by injuries last year most their backline out . I think they will go ok this year
Weitering, De Konig Young, Docherty, Saad and Newman all played the vast majority of games last year. Unsettled backline at worst.

Overrated team.

Yet they won just 1 more game than us last season, off a much easier draw.

They played two less games against top 6 sides than us, two more against bottom 5 teams, got to play a whopping 16 games at their home grounds (to our 12), while playing two less interstate/Geelong than us, and played two less top 6 teams interstate or in Geelong than we did.

That is at the very minimum a two win easier draw.

Their brand looked much prettier than ours. That first part of the season was as slick and clean footy as anyone has played in a few years. They looked likely to do a Melbourne and fly into finals full of confidence but like us a few injuries and a fragile mentality seemed to make them defy that momentum.

They have a harder year coming up with Walsh out with rehab from back surgery. Maybe parallel with us and King but we get the new coach momentum which hopefully gives us a bit more of a head start.

I was talking true CHFs/Key forward, and not just forwards generally.

Heath is tall, but does not have the mobility for CHF. Is also not ready this year

Keeler does and yes is definitely a future CHF option. But is raw and skinny this season.

Membrey is a very good third tall forward, but has not really played as key position forward. Sharma too also looks to be more your third tall type.
Hayes will undersized looks more like a key position type, but at this stage is not proven at AFL level, though he looked very good in his limited gametime.

Now the problem is that if Max is out at any stage, that our current "ready to play" marking forwards are 193cm players. With Max in I think that should work ok, but when Max is out it may not work as well.

Doggies for example have Naughton, Bruce, Lobb and Jamara. Naughton is their runt at only 195cm. Plus English is a very handy when he plays forward. And then they also have the 204cm Sam Darcy to be groomed. So to my way of thinking the Saints are light on for true key forward types. That is not tos ay that Hayes will not make it as a key forward, but if he does I will still regard him as un undersized key forward. Curnow player that height who plays well in the role.ow being an example

You could say that Collingwood would be the opposite with a lot of smaller types. There are lots of ways to set up. Gold Coast looked like they were in the same place as us last year, didn't seem to be a bad thing.

Essendon will offer him something he can’t refuse

So trolling ? should he be here then ?
Probably not but hard to justify handing out warnings when he tip toes the line between what is acceptable and what isn't. Best remedy is probably to just stick him on ignore, my experience here has improved by not engaging with it anymore.

Maybe the club will just need to play Heath in some kind of ruck/ forward capacity- may be the best way to get him up to the next level required.
The answer to a forward going down should never be another ruckmen.

Would be good if you provided some context.

Deleted a couple of posts of you and plugger arguing. Put him on ignore, he's admitted to doing it on purpose to annoy other posters.

The others were wishing that someone would have a stroke.

Don't think there's anything wrong with removing this content, but if you have any issues PM me or one of the mods.
Just to clarify, it wasn't me wishing strokes on others I was pulling up the poster for that poor form.

Was he always this terrible pre-season for you guys?

He's constantly dead last in all our running drills and by a long way.

He used to come back overweight pretty often and yeah was consistently in the back of the running. Nothing toooo unusual tbh. I've read our focus is a bit less aerobically fitness based than other sides over the last few years too so that could also play a part.
