I love Steeley, but gee I think this bloke should be our captain.

Also loved to hear him speak about how hard Owens is to match up on when playing forward. I know we keep hearing it, but he must be seriously strong for a 19 year old.

Steele the better player but Wilkie just exudes leadership. Something about him just feels like he always knows what to do and how to do it

Stupid article by Kane Cornes today.
Instead of just saying that the loss of Geoff Walsh, is bad timing & unfortunate to lose such a high calibre person.
He rambles on about The Saints, being mightily unsettled.
To be honest, with our injuries, King is the one that we truly can't cover, then what else is there? Better to have the injuries now, than later in the season.
And we've filled all the other roles, with established talent.
And just because 'The apparent Messiah' in Craig Kelly has signed on as CEO at Collingwood fc., we are so much weaker than them?
Media beat up as usual.
Before last season started he was all on about how much of a rabble Collingwood were. He changed his tune pretty quick, but he’ll be first to jump back off them if this year doesn’t go well for them.

He's a brainlet who continues to try extract the most from his career by being as cringe, populist and 'controversial' as possible. I've no respect for his opinions because they literally change week to week to suit his selfish pea-brained agenda.

Gotta love Wilkes…I’d personally love to see him & Steele as co captains.

Hey folks. I'm trying to find a club to watch train and take some photos tomorrow. Does anyone know if the Saints be at RSEA tomorrow morning?

If you managed to get some snaps I'm sure people here would appreciate it. We have a number of guys on the forum who do get down there often.

From what I understand they train Monday, Wedensday and Friday starting around 9:30-10am

Sup dogs,

Have moved your posts to the Random Discussion thread.

Edit - Moved them again to the Dog thread

I'll try to head down there in the morning. Thanks for the info. :)

One thing I notice in the various videos of training going around is that our hand balling seems to be no better than the past. Watching loopy handballs or putting the ball behind the player running past seems to continue.

To put the ball in a crisp manner into the path of the player running by seems to something that eludes us. In those videos (mainly on Saints TV) that player has to break stride to reach back behind him to get the ball. Such a waste.

Really hope we can improve that area. As an old Rugby player it was drilled into you to pass in front of the player you are intending to hit. Very basic.

Its a bit like kicking to a lead, if youre going to miss, miss in front, not over the back (where they should have more numbers).

There really should be no excuse for missing handballs in a drill, the only way you should ever miss the target handballing is under pressure, its a basic simple skill (and yes i was and remain an ELITE handballer)
