We waste charlie, when we play him up the ground. It's ridiculous. He is our best goal scorer and best mark inside 50.
Whyxnot bring in TDK to do the role we arexasking Charlie to do. He can mark and run. At least he could 'til he got Carltonised.
So agree re Kennedy!!! It's outrageous. And Crippa, if not injured should be allowed forward!
There is so much wrong!
Arggghhh.

The policies of failure have failed, we must make them work again!

Having a chat about what he wants and Cripps getting on the same page? There was nothing in that at all. Cripps was nodding at the end.

What do you think they talk to coaches on the phone about? This was just down on boundary line due to Voss being down there.

I don't have any problem with it, just saying I think the media might bring it up

Watched Voss press conference just now. Fair to say he nourished my view that he's a moron.

Essentially conceded that he has no expectations on the team's abiltiy to implement his defensive system in the second half.

Said that we don't want to be an outcome based football team. I'm not sure what magic measurement of sucess Voss has that doesn't involve winning, but I'd like to know so I can also start celebrating the losses.

When asked about negating Darcy Moore's impact he said they went after Daicos instead, and was of the view that you can't go after both. Would love to have him explain this logic so I could fully comprehend his incompetence.

What about something like this:

"Clearly what you saw today was unacceptable. First off, the problem is our game plan and that is on me. We shouldn't be blasting away to the same two overworked forwards every time. Only having 3 goal kickers while Moore took an all time record number of intercept marks is the final evidence we need - we have to make some changes. We only have a five day break before playing Sydney so to start with we will make some pretty minor tweaks but aim to just open things up a bit more, then as we head into the second half of the season you will see a much more attacking style that takes advantages of the natural strengths of our list.

The players are also struggling eith motivation and to execute skills and i think a lot of that sits with me too. We are going to invest in this and really focus on coming together mentally as a group. We are too fragile and need to pull together more when things get tough.

Oh, and i have realised i have being playing favourites with selection and choosing guys on position and not merit, and this is negatively affecting morale. Paddy Dow had 40 in the reserves today, and you'll see him play next week. Not sure who else stepped up but from now on everyone is on notice. We will certainly see where TDK is at because i think we need a second ruckman out there.

Finally, bloody great to see big H slotting goals with drop punts, even if he missed a couple. Pity Motlop went around the corner late... from now on we will all be kicking drop punts and the players will be doing double goal kicking practice. This week in particular - short week, so we will go light on running and just do some extra skills stuff. That'll include practice hitting targets on the boundary line and under pressure.

Thanks for your time..."
U have my vote for post of the year 👍

I’m rapidly becoming too tired to care much anymore. The season is clearly shot and we just keep dishing up the same rubbish week after week against decent sides. Opposition players laugh at us. Our game plan is a laughing stock. Opposition supporters are feasting on our mediocrity.

I’m tired of investing my emotional energy in these blokes.

Will say that Cripps arguing with Voss near the bench had the same energy as Gibbs arguing with Ratten when GC ended our season in 2012.

Tail wagging the dog sort of stuff but Voss will cop it.
Cripps is a career coach killer

A good captain collaborates with coach and playing group and becomes a part of the solution.

This behaviour has become ingrained in Cripps. You can see it in his performance this year. I think it's a big part of our problem

Job is yours mate.

The question is;

How does a team full of promise and ability, who have lost confidence, gain it again?

Of course winning would help.

But how to get them to believe & trust?

I am less inclined to rate this teams ability that highly. Our win loss ratio flattered us last year and we failed to perform when it mattered.

Hawthorn losing to Geelong 13 times in a row before their 3 peat had psychological issues which they dealt with in the end. Just kept at the Cats till they broke them in a prelim despite losing so many close ones to them before.

Carlton losing to any side who can kick the ball half decently has bigger issues with skill and footy iq than psychology. No side keeps their composure for long when they can't perform the fundamentals well enough. If all your effort goes to shit because half the team can't execute you'll burn out sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately Cripps is much more of a beast than a thinker. Really needs to drop the captaincy. Not sure who should take over though. Not many good options available.

A milquetoast 5 goal loss that was over at quarter time and a game that we won't learn anything from. Rinse and repeat.

This was surely an AI deep fake presser

Willful misreporting of his comments.

Suggest everyone go watch his press conference for themselves.

The strongest message from Voss was that this performance was totally unacceptable. Let’s hope that’s reflected at the selection table

Possibly rhetorical question:

How is it that with SOS in the ruck against Cameron, with Pies getting on a roll in Q1….that we have our slow mids set up in an offensive position at the centre bounces as if we are some hope to win the hitout forward? Of course leads to de Goey bursting out the front alone. And then Doc has to leave his man (WHE) who then kicks it to a leading Mihocek against the afls slowest full back. Game over. How did we set up that way????

He means they want to focus on the process but then says we lack execution. Which is a direct contradiction. Execution is a ****ing outcome - betrays himself in very little time.
