Had a look at the names in your list, mate, and there are some in there who could work out, fraught business picking the right ones, though.
Requires a good eye / feel for it.

NVM interesting, but depends heavily on Sinclair staying further up the ground, I reckon.

Yeah, mate, healthy dose of pure arse too this year, I reckon. Been like running the minefield between the injuries and suspensions.

I guess with most of those players, I'm thinking it might just be possible that they outscore their higher % owned teammates head to head over the rest of the year.

Most (all?) of the premo DEF brigade available to bring in off this bye have dropped at least one or more genuinely bad scores, if they have a handful on the way home there could be a few upsets. On the midfield side, a bloke like Crouch might conceivably outscore Steele, McCluggage>Neale etc., based on the same logic.

Doesn't seem as many 'sure things' as most years.

Crouch did / does interest me, too 👍
McLugga I think can outperform his early scores, but I think Prince Charming and others have forced him into a role that's just not that lucrative, and he's just not getting the touches.
Does he give enough output to warrant the trade? McLugga reckon no, Crouch maybe 👍

I really hate the trade situation this week. The option that probably makes the most sense is De Goey and Ziebell to Warner and Sinclair, but you just know Clarke will sit on Sinclair and Windhager will quite possibly go to Warner.

Doing a double sideways and having two premos go sub-90 on a Thursday night to kick off proceedings has melt written all over it lol.

I much prefer Brayshaw as an option to Warner, but it'd require going with Cameron instead of Sinclair, leaving me with an extra rookie on field next week and a max of 18 players (provided a reasonable downgrade arises for Weddle). I'll be getting Cameron in the next couple of weeks no matter what, but would rather after the bye and after the Gawn/Grundy matchup.

Great tip, he seems to be improving as the season goes on.

Wilkie any chance of outscoring the other Saints' DEF options, or too up and down to risk? I've got no background info on his ~20-50 disaster scores from earlier in the year to go off.
Hard to tell with Wilkie. I'd avoid him since his 2 low scores seem to be games where he had to be more accountable and his direct match ups in the last month of the season are tougher - Curnow, Riewoldt, Cameron and Gunston/Hipwood.

Brayshaw and Cameron vs Warner and Sinclair.

I own all but Andy, and I am currently torn between him and Neale.

I would grab the two with more to offer through the byes. I would love to grab Dawson instead of Neale, but that one extra bye hurts way too much.

Agree with the general principle on D Cam, but fwiw, he's a ruck with lower dependence on the ruck contest.
If you think they'll cramp his style around the ground (stands to reason they might a bit), holding off still the go.

Yeah, tbh I'm not even overly stressed about his score this week, it's more just the bye situation.

Feel Warner's a max 100-105 player for now, whereas I could see Brayshaw averaging 115 on the run home, and he has some good matchups coming up. It's just about evaluating whether I'll get more from an extra premo next week, or more from Brayshaw's likely better scores. With a 71 in his rolling average, I'd still be able to grab Sinclair for a good price in a week or two.

Yep, Crouch definitely my preferred of the two options.

Him at M8 really broadens both the trade and cash budgets.

Saints/Swans players are a tough call for this week, but if you were trading Ryan in you'd have to consider V/Cing him against the Tiger KPF's, could have a massive score sitting there on a plate.

With the Oliver news, having held him and Sicily, I am considering no trades.

Too much carnage this year to go down to 8 trades so early. As good as my team looks with Neale in it instead of Sheezel, 8 trades remaining is .... putrid. 🤮 🤮

Sheezel is a gun. Unlike Ziebell who is a spud, it is hard to stomach trading him, Ashcroft or Humphrey out.

Even if they are 90+ players, why not pick up another 90+ player like Jezza and Mills eventually, and start looping them all in??

Looping towards the end of the season can be so beneficial.

Don’t think you need to be too concerned about Gawndy.

Rucks other than English haven’t scored amazing against them, but it’s not a disaster considering they’ve versed a lot of average rucks.

134 (English)
89 (Big O)
82 (Ryan)
54 (Goldy)
115 (Witts)
112 (Meek)
117 (Lycett)
106 (Jackson)
90 (TDK)

I’d back DCam to match Meek, Lycett and Jackson and go 110ish.

Seems very sound advice looking back over his scores and seeing that practically all his spike games are against sides with weaker KPF's, or they were out injured that game. Cheers, mate. :thumbsu:

If I want Neale, I need to trade out one of Cincotta or Johnson.

Thoughts anyone?

Mine are that Cincotta still has a bye to come, where as Johnson could play all of the next 3 coming off a 70+ score and Serong potentially out this week.

However Cinc is my only reliable DEF rookie paired with Chesser.
Think I read earlier that JL stated he wanted to get more MID minutes into Johnson....

EDIT: found it......."Johnson is in the team and we want to get him more midfield minutes."

13 trades and 34k in the bank - 4 rooks on field (Sheez, Ash, Bear, Williams) - still mooing (Seamus, Weddle, Jonno, Cinc & Ford)

no decent downgrade options so

1 trade - De Goey to Warner

or

2 trades - JZ to D Cam and De Goey to Neale

2 trades with weeks with 553k in the bank after downgrading a few last week.

De Goey to Brayshaw is locked in.

Was planning on trading Ashcroft but with Ziebell and Sheezel hitting the wall, I'm debating trading one of them instead. Which one would you be moving on first?

Also debate between Neale and Warner as the replacement. Neale is safer and has the higher ceiling but Warners scoring over the past 3 games stacks up well. I'm nervous (or hopeful in tomorrows case) that Warner gets tagged in his next few games. The plan is next week to go Cincotta to Stewart which I will be able to afford either way but the saving with Warner would help turn Weddle into Cameron in rd15.

Any thoughts on something better?

Brayshaw and Neale would be brilliant trade ins for Ziebell and JDG.

Surely I am not the only one who hopes Hall plays every game for the rest of the season?
