Meet the new boss, same as the old bossHorse to take over
Given that Gardiner was part time and Cameron is the current head of football that seems somewhat unlikely.Meet the new boss, same as the old boss
Yeeeeeaaaaahhhhh!
Sorry, had to.
Yeah I know. Horse will fill some gaps I guess. Maybe Cameron takes on a bit more responsibility/support for prep and gameday since we've lost Horse and McVeigh (to VFL) and only really picked up a development coach.Given that Gardiner was part time and Cameron is the current head of football that seems somewhat unlikely.
Presumably losing Gardiner will free up some money. Perhaps enough to employ another assistant coach, if we can find one.Yeah I know. Horse will fill some gaps I guess. Being general counsel, he wouldn't have been being paid out of the soft capPresumably losing Gardiner will free up some money. Perhaps enough to employ another assistant coach, if we can find one.
He was specifically helping out the club this year with the contracts for the "big 5" re-signingsI got the feeling that Gardiner’s role in Melbourne was something invented to help him transition back to Melbourne. I suspect there was always the understanding/expectation that he would quite soon accept a full-time role with another club.
As far as assistants go, I imagine they are on the lookout for someone to fill the gap. But has oft been noted (by the club), it can be challenging to attract coaching staff to come up to Sydney on the paltry wages that assistant coaches earn and no COLA soft cap.
Steven Smith is a very good choiceSo I happen to be a Melbourne Demons member in addition to being a Swans member.
I actually don't care about being a Demons member. I got it as they had the cheapest kayo subscription going around.
Thanks to Eddie I am now a full voting member for the Melbourne board.
I can cast 4 votes in the upcoming Melbourne board election, and I want you to help me decide who to vote for
So, who do you feel I should vote for? How will I decide? mixture of what responses I get, who responds, popularity and my own general feelings mixed together
