Lions were in champion data’s bottom 3 for games missed through injury (with us and Richmond). One of the most hard earned flags I can think of.
Just got home. That was trash by the swans... I'd be so bloody flat......

Yeh the likes of Doedee, Gardiner, McCarthy and Coleman are each significant outs but having 11/22 play every game just helps build cohesion that we never seem to be able to get.
Coleman only real loss there.
Others going down gave Lohmann, morris and a couple other kids exposure that they’ve thrived from.

The Brisbane Lions had a really impressive finals series, so much run, confidence and power, having good ball uses off half back, having pace, power and height in the forward line and players who are hard at the ball and opponent is great to watch.
I dont see our team and list being that far off compared to the two teams out there today, one or two players in areas of need and things change all over the field.

Doedee is very underrated - an incredible pickup for the Lions as one of the best intercept players in the comp imo. Also a great leader. McCarthy a very good forward as well. Gardiner would have helped as well with some of the games where they lacked KPDs

Sydney -80 disposals and yet -19 in tackles is not gonna win you a game. Brisbane also took 158 marks (22 i50) due to the lack of pressure/intensity/effort

no you got it wrong - pressure and contested work had NTHING to do with the Brisbane win today - muffin oit was all tango with a bit of fox trot thrown in as plan B!!!

Yet some people wonder why we're not a well oiled team like Geelong. When they do have outs it's replacing one or a couple of players but the rest of the machine keeps humming along.
The only time it changes is when you lose an irreplaceable player like a Dangerfield for Geelong or an Ashcroft or Neale for Brisbane
Continuity is so important.
Agree. Brisbane had the confidence / skill / courage to play on quickly with handball and short kicks to work through the midfield zone.
270 kicks to 195, and 158 marks to 88 in a game must be a record.
Some people confuse quick play on quick thinking players with fast running players.
