I honestly think this Kennedy sub thing, given both his personal circumstances and overall status within the side, will be considered pretty unforgivable by the playing group. Hard to get trust/respect back after a seriously horrific call like that.

Reckon something was already not right between coach and players (perhaps they think, like the rest of us, that the game style they are being asked to execute is pure shit?), this could make it a whole lot worse.
Second half of last year think they got buy in to work on the gameplan. Think Mr micromanager reeled that back again this season.

Tonight was complete rubbish but ultimately the season was over a month ago. You can’t implode like we did from 2nd on the ladder and then expect to magically turn things around for a finals series coming from 8th. Tonight was simply the exclamation mark on an awful end to the season.

The game was really a microcosm of the last two months. Bewildering team selection. Patchy effort from the players. Too many injured or undone players. Too many passengers leaving all the work to too few.

A lot to fix up over the off season and pre season.

We've let our players sack coach after coach though, not sure I like then dictating another coach sacking - even if I'm not sold on Voss.

Voss needs an attitude change as happened to Hardwick.
As much as I hate mentors he needs one. But who ?
Roos? Blight ? Or maybe get one of his old mid field boys to bounce shit off. Maybe gaz jnr.
Idk , just a bit lost as to where I thought we would be to where we are!😞
Voss needs to be put on the carpet and read the riot act for sure. But the club needs to get over the "always play the stars and don't rotate our youngsters" attitude. While we have made progress, we are still acting like the club is an old boys society where backroom movers and shakers are still making decisions. I agree on the mentor thing. Maybe we could get Neil Craig back in to help him out. Outside of that Roos might be a good mentor for him.

I know it’s all doom and gloom at the moment but if we look into next year before anything else we do the following didn’t play tonight:

Charlie
Boyd
Cottrell
Fogarty
Moir
Binns
Lord
Jsos
Cincotta

Add some Camporeales.

Most important person is the high performance coach.

The year was a write off due to the injuries i think. We need to make changes to the assistant coaches, but i think Vossy should be given another year at least.

Considering that we were sixty to zero points down early in the second quarter, we did well to keep the losing margin down to under thirty points in the end.

Our form since the end of June has been that of a bottom four team, and we failed dismally to build on the progress we made last year.

If i said that i had every confidence that Vossy is the right man for the job at this stage then i'd be lying.

There is serious issues with selection integrity at this club amongst other issues as well. Here we are our premiership famine has now extended into it's thirtieth year sadly.
Presser did nothing to increase confidence.Doesn't seem to get how stupid it was leaving Cinc out. Taking Kennedy off and leaving Durds and Mot?
Off on some other tangent.
Sure it was nice having Doc back for Doc..but he wasn't too good.
Ditto Cerra and Guv.
The gaMe plan is dull and stodgy.
No way Voss will be going anywhere so no point wasting time on it.
How do we get some brains and forward thinking into our club?

I think Tim Clarke and Sammy Hamill would be the ones to go from me. We’ve got so much midfield talent but we just set up so poorly time and time again, seeing Brisbane having unmanned players at stoppage tonight and our backline constantly scrambling is a worry when we’re at this point in our window

Erm...quite a few of them were available.

Again, our biggest flaw is lack of system in ball movement. We don't have any apparent system. It is TDK, Cripps and bust.

We have a very amatuer style of play. Contest, contest, gun player gets the ball and tries to do something. Only in the second half there were some actually attempted overlap run, quick switches, through handballs etc. this should be the norm of our play, not when all else fails.

If we go into the off season believing that injuries was the reason we failed this year we will fail again next year.

Anyway I’m off to Adair’s tomorrow I’ve got some new bed linen to buy.
I think this needs pushing more, injuries, injuries, injuries is constantly put up as why we failed, except even when we were winning and when we had strong teams in and just losing, we were easy to score against and constantly let in big scores.

Quality players everywhere, a stronger core group than most other clubs and we are a fair way back.
