I reckon Freo pushes top 6 2025 though. For 2024 still missing some experience and a couple of pieces of the puzzle.

Lions and Crows will be super pissed and ready to come out guns blazing in season 2024. That kind of near miss and heartache will propel them I reckon. The Crows were screwed over big time. Did they get some back for season 1997? Leigh Colbert non mark and Libba's '' goal '' ??

Lions as of right now would be my pick to win the Premiership. I believe we may see a repeat of this years Granny. Who knows, we might do to them what they did to us in 2002/03. But as of right now, my money would be on the Lions.

melbourne missing finals even though we get all of our injured players back and only lost to the premiers by 7 points due to inaccurate kicking. I think a little reactionary.

Genuinely have no idea this early, trade period has a pretty big influence.

Few random thoughts though

I'd tip Brisbane to be right up there in the top 2

Collingwood 3rd-6th a mild drop but not drastic

Geelong and Richmond I think both miss the 8 again

Carlton and GWS top 4

Like this year there'll be another group of 10 sides in the fight for 5th-8th for a long period of the season and potentially until the last round or two

North Melbourne and Hawks reasonable improvement and won't finish bottom 2, definitely bank on improvement

Adelaide make finals

Eagles probably last again, don't see how they avoid the spoon.

.....and I highly doubt it. Some bookies also had GWS bottom 4 this year and all had Geelong flag favorite.

Pretty hard to make any proper judgements when your coach quits mid-season and replaced him with a carbon copy caretaker. I expect a decent bounce with a new coach and system and with games no longer gifted to some of the old firm. We shall see....
Every club has a range depending on so many factors, I have our range as about 7th-14th.

A lot depends on whether Yze commits to a rebuild or sees us as challenging for a finals spot and what focus he has.

The next most important thing is the fitness of Tom Lynch and where we finish in that range.

I tip we probably miss the 8 though, as we adapt to a new philosophy at the club and there'll be some teething problems.

Why do Geelong fans think they'll get an easier draw? The AFL isn't fair. They don't operate on an even playing field at all when it comes to the draw.

My stab at it...

1. Melbourne
2. Brisbane
3. Collingwood
4. Carlton
5. Adelaide
6. GWS
7. Sydney
8. Gold Coast
9. Geelong
10. Essendon
11. Fremantle
12. St Kilda
13. Western Bulldogs
14. Hawthorn
15. Port Adelaide
16. North Melbourne
17. Richmond
18. West Coast
lol Port may have dropped out of the finals in straight sets, and I have no faith in Hinkley BUT .... if a team with Butters Rozee JHF Drew Wines in the middle finishes 15th I will .... do something pretty outrageous.

With Grundy and Adams, Sydney will climb again. Tipping a Melbourne and Port slide.

Serious question. Why does almost every poster have Richmond in the bottom 4?

We have not finished bottom 4 since 2010 and there's nothing to suggest we will bottom out yet. So I just want to know why do many people have us falling right off.

So many having us bottom 4. I highly doubt it.
dont worry...

Back in 2018, freo were crap and had no forwards. Freo finished 14th with 8 wins.

Then comes the 2018 trade and draft period. Dockers for 2 KPFs in Jesse Hogan and Rory Lobb. Yet people tipped freo to finish bottom in 2019.

Underselling your own team there perhaps. Was really impressed with Hawthorn towards the back end of the season, think they showed a lot of promise. Anywhere between 8th and 13th I reckon.
