Impact day 1
Yep I know who I’d pick regardless I’d what the others say

When a kid like Jagga is rated at such a young age like was, to still be seen as a top 3-5er now shows he’s gonna be ultra consistent
Never got lower than 24 touches in the Coates talent league.

Had a poor day in the VFL for me in a wet game. Still ended up with 30+ touches.

Death by a thousand cuts (or 30 in his case).

Feeling underwhelmed, with this years draft period for us (not the players). Knowing who we’re likely picking kills the excitement.

We know down to a few players, who we’ll take at Pick 3. Then Ben & Lucas Camporeale are locks, Ben likely before pick 38. Then 1 unknown player (exciting).

Ride the no-bid-before-38 rollercoaster!

Jagga for me too. Has been all along.
A clever little Neale, Daicos, Butters, Serong clone of our own, buzzing around the packs, knowing where to be, knowing how to be evasive, knowing the right decision at the time and delivering with speed and precision. Sounds about right.
Yep. That'll do nicely I reckon.
Come on Nick. You know you want to

Graham Wright was at the filth, so he may have his fingerprints on this. very good eye for talent

I haven't changed my view on the players in our target range.

1. Langford, strong and lateral movement. Hardly ever gets caught with the ball. Can take a contested mark, his left foot is an absolute weapon. Will have the capacity to play HB and HF. I am not worried about his 20m speed testing.

2. FOS, similar skillset to Langford with a bit more straight line speed, does not have the same level of football IQ or willingness to work of the ball as Langford.

3. Jagga, very agile, will be a great high possession link up player. High IQ and work rate. Kicking lacks penetration, often kicks of the inside of his foot. Just not sold as a top 3 player. I have him at ranked 5-6.

4. Sid, great highlights reel, love his burst of pace and mix of outside/ inside. With the excess pace you sacrifice efficiency. So whilst he is a POD and gives us additional speed, we do not get kicking efficiency POD that we need. I am also concerned about his durability. I have him ranked 7-8.

Could be right.

If I was GW I'd want to be involved as much as possible in the decision of who we take and I would hope that is the view of the LM team as well. Too good a mind not to utilise I would have thought.

On Jagga, that's just who I want, which means nothing, really. It's who the club want and I've stated all along I'll back their decision all the way, and I really do believe that with the right people now in place and that includes both GW & Nick Austin, we will get this very right.

If that means it's FOS or Draper, or any of the others in consideration then I'll back them too, in that the right people are making the decision. They probably know a bit more than I do.
