Every coach and list manager he's had in the AFL seems to agree with me on this, but let's go through your response anyway.

Sounds like a bare minimum requirement to be an AFL player.

What about continued effort to improve the weaknesses in his game? I didn't see any results of that in his time with us.

There was always a spot for him to take in our team, he just failed to do so because he isn't good enough and never showed signs that he would be in the future. If he had shown anything at all, we wouldn't have traded for Hewett/Cerra and if he had reached his potential, we certainly wouldn't have traded the farm to get pick 3 in this draft.

I never made any comparisons between Draper and Dow. I simply made an observation about why Dow didn't make it at Carlton.
Yeah, Nah, I still think your very wrong

hmmmmmm.....if that eventuates, then do GWS trade 13 and 15 to the Saints for 8 and 32 to move up the order? Saints reportedly keen to split pick 8.

It could be a good result for us if the Saints no longer have pick 32 for SOS to potentially place a bid.

Giants always looking to move up.
Silvagni moved back to land Stocker and Kemp i believe ?
So the trade might appeal to both parties …

Very, very interesting.

When I read the phantom draft from the Age that had us taking Jagga, my interpretation was that they had gleaned the information from other club’s recruiters (rather than our own).

I still hold the view that we want FOS. I wonder if we have been planting enough seeds with other recruiters to ensure that he slips through to number 3?

I reckon this pick swap between crows and roos happens. Just makes too much sense not to, if Crows think there is any chance, we want the same player. F2 is a cheap price to pay to ensure they get their man, and they have 3 F3s.

It'd be bold for crows to pick Jagga over Draper. If Draper ends up a superstar that's a career killer for whoever made that decision. If it works out the other way around, I think they'd be forgiven for going for the local talent even if it wasn't the ideal result.

Probably backing themselves in that they get him back down the track, but history shows that’s no guarantee. Maybe they know something about him that the other recruiters don’t, or maybe this reporter is FOS (not the kid..)

If the Crows trade up and take Jagga that should ring alarm bells for Draper.

Geez, can you all STOP....

I'm so confused!

The last time it felt this sick was in my younger years when I was asked the ultimate question for a young buck...

Who would you marry, Claudia, Naomi, Elle, Cindy, Christie or Linda....
Yep. Any of those would have done.
Bit like our pick. Lots of high quality to choose from.

Thanks Trigger. Is the classification of a Pars Defect injury from a confirmed source?

There’s some confusion with a zerohangar article that called it a Chronic Pars Defect which is more than a fracture but a break that doesn’t heal on its own and requires surgery (screws etc.).

The article may have got it wrong as I don’t think any other media outlet has reported it as a chronic pars defect.
I’m pretty darn sure there was no surgery required and that doctors have said once he stops growing (which he may already have done) it won’t be an issue at all. Given he is projected to go high in the draft, it seems this injury really isn’t an issue at all.

Why do the crows need to move up to pick 2 to get Jagga when he’s likely to get them at 4. If we pick up Jagga then what’s wrong with crows getting Draper?
Pardon the intrusion - from what I can tell, we like Draper (and would take him if he remains available at 4), but we have Smith above him, and find him worth trading up for. Sounds like you’d possibly pick Smith before us

Some interesting games going on at the moment, for sure
