We are 100% on Jagga.

Lalor
FOH
Jagga
Draper

Roo's have tried to find a way to trade down so they can not take a midfielder, but haven't been able to find a trade and are to afraid of another McCartin over Petracca situation.

Personally I don't mind which of the top 4 we get, they are all jets.
Jagga seems to of developed more critics for not getting injured and having an amazing body of work than they others have for being injured.

Its like the old family guy skit. "The boats a boat, but the mystery box could be anything, it could even be a boat!"
Thanks Forty3. Do you know if that is our order of preference as well?

Follow up on Clem Smith. His Wikipedia page is bizarre. Apparently he is a wizard amongst many other pieces of strangeness.

This is hilarious because it’s true.

For anyone worried about the inability to burst from a stoppage or lack of metres gained for Jagga, watch this clip.
I’d like to point out:
1. how many metres are gained by the teammate he gives the ball to.
2. At 3:28, how he wins clear possession from the stoppage and purposefully kicks the ball forward, not by bursting in a straight line once taking possession but by stopping on a dime and running 180 degrees from where he took it.

His game sense is incredible and really helps the team.

Richmond selecting Lalor seems like the overwhelming choice, and it’s been that way for a while. I just hope Norf don’t play spoiler and take Smith themselves. But this latest ITK info has given me confidence that that won’t be the case. Smith sounds like he will be a great selection for us.

Well ... I'm all ready to receive Carlton's next Brownlow Medalist ..... err .... after Crippa scores another and Walshy bags one (or 2) that is... exciting times ...

Yeah i took away from that was if he we land the KPD we're after at #38 (or rookie draft) then Grainger-Barass might be in trouble.
Hoping we take Liam McMahon in the rookie draft but sounds more likely he'll be an SSP.
I hate when people use the acronym SSP. Makes me feel like we are gonna stuff up the draft with another SPS.

I'd say there is more of a chance of the Crows not taking Draper.

How so?
Hasn't even taken place yet?
Over hyped, maybe? But over rated? May have to wait a few years before that can be accurately assessed and answered.

Compare output at junior levels as a first measure?
Re: hype … there’s nothing more certain in life than millions of footy fans jumping on the expert bandwagon (best/worst) come draft time despite only watching five minutes of YouTube vision.

I decided to torture myself and watch Dylan Alexanders latest video critiquing Cals Phantom Draft. I was hoping he would confirm Jagga. But no, quite the opposite. He poo poo's the entire Jagga logic. Given it has cast major doubts in my head, I thought it only fair I inflect the torture on you all too...

I was just about to post this.

Have Carlton been putting out Jagga Smith hints to stop the Crows from trading up for Draper?

I'm warming to Smith.

What threw me off was that game where he had 30+ touches (18 contested) but managed only 50m gained.

While (for a side that has elite outside players) that's perfect, for us not so much.

That said, Cripps is 30 next year. Smith would make a pretty good pairing for Walsh for the next decade.

He's also a guaranteed 200 gamer (barring injuries).

Dont stress. Ive noticed alot of casual fans and bloggers are overly focused on carltons immediate need for speed. The club will be taking a longer term view, hence Jagga.

Should have seen how some on the Blue Abroad channel were blowing up about the Jagga news.

Ok. I'm no draft expert and will never claim to be.
And that is why, when the majority of the AFL "world", say this ranks as a very very good draft, I'll tend to sway with the majority.

Where would you rate this draft in comparison to others?

It’s what he did after that game which shows the character he has, how coachable he is and how impressive Jagga is.

When his coach sat him down and told him to try to be more damaging with his possessions he applied to his game and the next game he adapted and over 200m gained! He’s a beauty
