I went through and tried to figure it out myself.

Was leaving Big XII to last.

But I lost interest at the SBC. It's very easy to figure out who plays. But it's the who hosts where it's a pain

What i want to see is pure chaos at this point.

What I'm thinking.

UNLV def Nevada
Tulane def Memphis
South Carolina def Clemson
Syracuse def Miami (Fl)
Arizona def Arizona State
Kansas State def Iowa State

Miami (Fl) def SMU
Tulane def Army

I honestly wonder whether these 8 games go this way, whether we'll see the #3/#4 seeds as MWC/AAC champs, #12 seed as one of Big XII/ACC champ, with the other champ missing altogether.

So using the old BCS formula

1. Oregon
2. Texas
3. Miami (Fl)
4. Boise State
5. Ohio State
6. Penn State
7. Notre Dame
8. Georgia
9. SMU
10. Indiana
11. Tennessee
12. Arizona State

Ohio State vs Arizona State
Penn State vs Tennessee
Notre Dame vs Indiana
Georgia vs SMU

Oregon vs Georgia/SMU - Rose Bowl
Texas vs Notre Dame/Indiana - Sugar Bowl
Miami (Fl) vs Penn State/Tennessee - Peach Bowl
Boise State vs Ohio State/Arizona Bowl - Fiesta Bowl

Please note, after the Coaches didn't award the natty to someone around 04ish (I think they gave it to LSU instead of USC or something?)

The coaches poll was taken away, but what replaced it no longer exists. So I reverted back to the coaches poll for the point of this exercise

First lone star showdown since 2011, after A&M left for the SEC and the winner is through to the SEC championship.

The Aggies haven't won a conference championship since their Big12 days in the 90s, so a win would be massive for them, along with the bragging rights

Some surprises in the rankings. Penn St still over Notre Dame, Alabama only fell 5, Boise only move up 1 and the Big12 closing on them. Clemson are just outside and likely wont make the ACC title game but beat ranked South Carolina and just need 1 team above them to drop out on championship weekend to fall in.

If Oregon & Ohio State both get through their rivalry match ups this weekend, you effectively have the winner in the 1 seed & loser in the 5th seed.

Would you prefer a bye & potential QF match up with Georgia, or a home first round against Arizona State & QF against Boise?

The second option by far.

If you are good enough you shouldnt worry about having to face any teams.

But teams who have the bye also get about a month off between championship weekend and the quarter finals. not that the first round teams dont have much less time to get rusty with just one extra game in that month.

The second option by far.
No one in their right mind would want to play through a Boise State side in a Fiesta Bowl.

You have as much chance of winning that as Notre Dame has at winning a NY6 bowl.

btw - Boise State is so banged up, I wouldn't be shocked if the 12th seed is UNLV.....

Our #1 RB has been playing through an arm injury the last month and sustained a leg injury that kept him out for a few drives on the weekend, with our #2 and #3 RBs unable to play due to their own injuries.
And we're basically playing with a 2nd string OL.

Throw in a subpar QB and secondary.

I can see us being 10-3 and playing in the LA Bowl.

But if we can knock off OSU and UNLV, the team you see in the Fiesta Bowl, would be about the healthiest team you've seen since we played Oregon.

Also, that's not so certain

if a 12-0 Oregon beats an 11-1 Ohio State say 56-14 and a 10-2 Georgia beats an 11-1 Texas say 36-35 (OT) I think the #5 would be Texas and the #6 would be Ohio State

All I'm wanting is pure ACC-Big XII Chaos that we manage to get #1 - BigTen, #2 - SEC, #3 - MWC, #4 AAC. #12 ACC/BigXII

Dont really care about chaos elsewhere

I saw a crazy stat, Unless ND stumble @ USC they will host a first round playoff game. and it will be the first game at South Bend to not be broadcast on NBC or a NBC owned network like Peacock or NBCSN since 1990
