Hey, I’m up for it….whatever “tactical intelligence” is…

( my kids used to complain that I was too good at law enforcement. Didn’t do them any harm.)
You are perfect for the diversity, angle for minority and disadvantaged groups Diehard Saint, a woman, a immigrant ( Saffie) and Jewish.
I am sure we can come up with some hackneyed stereotype for your character .
How about the good hearted herion addict informer like Bubbles in the Wire?

He won't bulk up to the point of losing agility, those days are long gone.
Super talented natural footballer in the forward-ruck position, sounds like another mercurial tall we had quite recently...

Previously I would have been certain the coaches would derail his trajectory, however have full trust the current crop know what they're doing. Praying for Paddy (Ryder not Mattress) 2.0.

Previous us go "3-4 years, that sounds like trade material!" and ship him off for an early 20 something pick. If he chose to stay, he'd be cut ASAP under the guise of a re-rookie.

All my life I really wanted to be a diversity hire 🙄🤣🤣

I don’t know about Bubbles, but if you make it “Bubba” it’s closer to the truth…(I probably shouldn't divulge my age demographic) but in a couple of weeks I am expecting twin granddaughters in Perth!

Expecting stiff competition from the Eagles half of the family, so thought I’d make a start…❤️

We need to talk Keeler.
I consider him the second most talented player taken in the Pou draft.
Though to be fair to Van Es and Hotton, we have seen very little of either.
With Pou, he shares tremendous upside and X factor.
Skilled, exciting.
But I really don’t know if he is suited to either KPF, KPD or Ruck.
Yes, that’s what his physique and under age career would suggest.
However, I fear that we will not see his true potential if he is pigeonholed into these roles.
As I watched him today, it struck me that his key qualities are: mobility, agility and evasiveness.
He is not naturally physically strong nor bulky.
Though the last two characteristics are attainable through hard work.
And might allow him to play the KPF, KPD and ruck roles.
But is the physicality and bulk going to be at the expense of his mobility, agility and evasiveness?
He did a wonderful sidestep in the middle of a pack this morning, worthy of any evasive midfielder.
I would hate to see us take him down a more traditional development route and then miss out on seeing a unique player.
Maybe that is the issue that saw him drop down the rankings and for Adelaide to pass on him?
He’s a round peg needing a round hole, is this where Carroll earns his wages?
Because I can see him being an absolute weapon and very hard to negate.
Given the right development.
Thoughts?
I remember the 200cm wingman the bombers took in the draft they had 3 frdps in a row, he had an amazing first year...maybe wing is Keeler's spot if he can build a tank...mind you there is good money in tank building (just saying)🤣.
Hill and Mason are both closer to the end of their careers and the D train has been decommissioned 😞
It’s a pain when you want to sack the guy but you keep winning 🤣🤣
I know so many Port supporters that would be very happy to see the back of him.

I’m glad you mentioned Ryder.
I’ve been thinking that he’s probably the best comparison, but early Ryder playing at CHB. Not post PA Ryder.
When I saw his profile today (a straight line from neck to ankle - very odd), and then his candy sale in the pack, it jolted my thinking.
He has that classic First Nations physique, why risk the inherent benefit just for some orthodoxy.
Mobility, agility and evasion.
That’s his point of difference, we need to capitalise on it.
I trust that you are correct.
I only hear good things about Carroll, I reckon Keeler could be his Giaconda.

His tank is absolutely an issue.
I have no idea how good that is.
I agree he might have a midfield role.

Got a 2.5 year old Grandson, and it's a big battle between the Saints and Bulldogs. I do have a granddaughter due in April so a chance there

Diehard could have chosen any team to follow when she came here and chose the least succesful team of all time. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Until Keeler players he is still just a developmental player who has potential.

Blokes of his size can take 3-6 years before reaching AFL level.

Its still too early for him IMO.

Shows remarkable character IMO. I came from Sydney and chose the Saints.

Yeah, like 36 years ago, longer than most of you have been alive.
And really Sydney or Melbourne, two international cities, Perth is the fecking mulga in comparison

For you maybe.

I’d like to agree, however we were coerced into it by my son’s prep teacher before we had a clue what we were actually choosing 🤣🤣🤣

No regrets though.. I think!

Can we finally now sleep and dismiss the absolute horror of selecting Mattress Guts over Petracca and JB over Bont now we have drafted possibly the greatest ever AFL player at pick 33 in the 2021 draft?
Don’t worry I lose more sleep on Ball over Judd & XClarke over Bartel 😂😂

A great analogy there sobraz.

How exciting is that possibility....!!!!!

When on song.....the "Golden Greek"......not you George.......haha.....was a sight to behold.

He certainly tore us apart several times.
My ex wife was a Carlton supporter. I well remember Kouta spinning the ball on his f*ck you finger whilst looking me in the eye sat on level 3 for one of his 5 last quarter centre square breaks at Marvel when they overran us in the early 2000's.

If Pou gives it back to a Blues fan at some stage then my life's Karma will have been fully restored! 😁

To be fair, Marshall was in the same predicament for a while too, and didn’t fit neatly into a position

Saints' Sons of Guns ...

I was at the Open Training today. I can confirm that both Frank Peckett's son and Spider Everitt's son, both trained with the Sants today as guests.

I saw Spider there and with thanks to Georgie Day, I was lucky to be inrduced to his lovely wife post training.

She said their son was down here for today plus two other training sessions before they return home for him to go to school on Tuesday.

I'm not sure if its been mentioned yet, but if so, I apologise for the double up.

Let's hope they both impress the Saints' brains trust and enjoy their opportunity.

We ‘brains trusters’ are undecided 😊
