Really enjoy the written reports but in your case a verbal description will be totally acceptable.

And whilst some of the other badge wearers may be a bit flippant with the truth, Iā€™m happy to take your observations as gospel šŸ˜Š

Thanks Doctor for the kind words.šŸ„°
My musings from training were..
SOS likes a short black, he got a Soy Latte for some other Dude who looked important, the Brains trust are an interesting looking bunch.
The vibe was upbeat and a little infectious, was a lovely way the spent a couple of hours this morning.
Jack Hayes was doing a fair bit of work with Lenny and Mr. Butler, they were all breathing hard, hands on knees at southern end.
Saw McLennan take a nice overhead mark under pressure, J Webb's bullets passes whilst running at speed are a thing of beauty.
Garcia looks like he means business.
Crouch and Clark were powering thru. 200 metres repeatedly and looked to both be cruising.
Windhager looks like he is possessed in a good way.

Presume you mean Angus McLennanā€¦ā€other dudeā€ was Simon Dalrymple!!

Not liking the negative Hammer vibes, hope he's just been quietly building other areas of his game as he became a quick favourite last year
That's a fair cop, he had a great debut season. I still can't see him in playing in a forward line that already has King, Membrey, Owens and Sharman in it. Sharman has his finals performance tipping him over the edge for the spot for mine. Also his experience with the role on intercept defenders.

He's battling for that last spot with Sharman and some development time where he's the 'leader' of the forward line in the VFL would do his time better IMO.

Great post. Thanks for the effort. Great to see we are finally getting excited about Henry. For me, St Kilda's X factor this year is Henry, Hill, NAS, Phillipou and Wood. If those guys click like we think they can it would be the difference between 7-14 and 1-6.

Interesting note on Jones. I watched a lot of training in 2021 and he was exactly the same....really aggressive trainer. I thought he was in for a huge year. I hope he can carry some momentum this year and stay injury free.
what is Chito, chopped liver?

For those at home and who have been to training can you plase provide me with a yay or nay

Garcia is a cross between Jack Crisp/Jack Viney?

Membrey will get a crack over Hammer and I think thatā€™s whoā€™s spot he is competing for.

(Unless we decide to go really tall as opposed to mobile)

I think Sharman will be competing against more fleet footed players and other utility types (Allison) who he is well ahead of right now.

I am not fussed at all. He has had an interrupted preseason this year. He came in last year off the back of little preseason and impacted straight away.

He has the natural ability, intensity and athletic profile to tear shit up.

Many before him have had the talent but not the mental fortitude to get the best out of themselves. I have full faith he will get there.

This exactly. He is 19, had decent first season, then had an interrupted pre season and is in his second year.
Just watching Coops from his first year, he has improved his game craft considerably, and his fitness.

I have no worries about Hammer at all, Alison is the one to worry about.

Yep I think he will take over Membreys spot at some point.

Maybe not this season, but I can't see him fading away to just being another VFL player. Too much natural talent.

Bloody hell I hope thereā€™s no more short story sequelā€™s comingā€¦šŸ¤”
It would be great for you or Watto or one of the other certified (you know us special guys with the badges and stuff) trackies to go through each player on that post and put your own thoughts.

They are my opinions only, and can lead to false impressions. Example is match sim, seemed that the defence up ground and in the mids wasn't too high giving players like Henry a free run, making him look like a cross between Dangerfield and Rioli, could all be different with more pressure.

Would like your thoughts, and the added bonus we might get to have the longest post in Saints Forum BF history :D:D:thumbsu:

I'm all for epic Game of Thrones type sequels.
I expect reports to include the method our forwards lace their shoes.
Perhaps parallel lacing is more accurate than criss-cross

Unless you name the entire team there is always going to be someone crying in their beer.

Chito, like King and Wilkie and Marshall and Sincs and Steele and Crouch is really important too. OK?

I was really looking at where our transitions will differ from 2023.
Imagine if the poster had left Pou out , he would have really gone off his nut

As harsh as it sounds, the silver lining is that you have someone to delist to make room for the next year of draftees. I hope to be proven wrong.

Joffa.....I think.......no,I'm pretty sure that saintmike65 was referring to Barrel's epic training report from last Friday's session .....at least that was what I thought his post was referring to........Barrel's post was certainly what I was referring to.

I personally thought your post was very analytical and extremely informative.
