More like Tom Liberatore!
That is very extremely good news. Video highlights are very dangerous to judge draftees with. But I remember being very impressed with Garcia’s highlights. And so I am intrigued how he’s going to go in the real stuff.

I am a fan of Tom Liberatore. We could do with someone like him! Without the off field shenanigans!😂

Hunter is currently training non-contact, but we won’t rush him back this week,” Executive General Manager of Football David Misson said.

“Zak will continue to work through concussion protocols, which we will continue to monitor closely.

“As for Jack Sinclair, it’s about making sure his body is tip-top for the season proper so we’ll manage his workload over the coming weeks.”

I agree mate. I have always liked the way Tom Liberatore plays and wish he was a sainter. I don't remember him opening up someone's forehead however. Did his father Tony do this to
Matthew Knights?

Anyway both father and son were / are great in and under types, and would do anything to get their teams over the line.
Libba senior was either loved or loathed, and as a Brownlow Medallist obviously had some talent as well, despite his numerous detractors.

Joffa.....I think.......no,I'm pretty sure that saintmike65 was referring to Barrel's epic training report from last Friday's session .....at least that was what I thought his post was referring to........Barrel's post was certainly what I was referring to.

I personally thought your post was very analytical and extremely informative.
There’s posts…and then there’s short stories! 🙂

Gotta say I’m disappointed that Seb Ross is in the leadership group..yes he’s experienced & yes he’s vocal at training but for us to make significant steps forward, we need to go past the likes of him.. he’s virtually a certainty to be selected now and that should not be the case!
No issues at all with the other four.

I can't say I know anything about how teams are selected, but surely just being in the leadership group isn't that important? Port didn't pick their captain for most of last year, dropping someone who is in the leadership group seems like nothing compared to that.

I am not fussed at all. He has had an interrupted preseason this year. He came in last year off the back of little preseason and impacted straight away.

He has the natural ability, intensity and athletic profile to tear s**t up.

Many before him have had the talent but not the mental fortitude to get the best out of themselves. I have full faith he will get there.
Yep, I think he has a higher ceiling than Coops, but is behind now for the reasons you said. Great replacement for Membrey if he can’t get going. Hammer and Coops were on the weaker team at match sim and so didn’t get much of a chance. Hammer took a nice mark or two and in the drills prior he took a couple of nice one on one marks. His hands are sensational.

Great post. Thanks for the effort. Great to see we are finally getting excited about Henry. For me, St Kilda's X factor this year is Henry, Hill, NAS, Phillipou and Wood. If those guys click like we think they can it would be the difference between 7-14 and 1-6.

Interesting note on Jones. I watched a lot of training in 2021 and he was exactly the same....really aggressive trainer. I thought he was in for a huge year. I hope he can carry some momentum this year and stay injury free.
Collard has three times the X-Factor of those blokes. XXX-Factor!

Will more than likely take over from Gresh for when we need a helicopter kick to win a close one.

Surely Sharman has earned a decent run at cementing a spot in the best 22?

His training/ressies form has always been middling.
But has almost always delivered when brought into the big league.

He was incredible against the tide at the pointy end of the season v the giants.

One of the very few blokes on the park that day for us that looked like he belonged in that pressure cooker.
He was solid in the final if you look at his 15 touches and a couple goals, but his task was to limit Whitfield which he failed horribly at. I think he’s one of those players that supporters see through rose colored glasses.

I wouldn’t say that’s his fault, that’s a terrible matchup that the coaching staff got horribly wrong. A key forward can’t be expected to chase down super quick half backs.

That's mostly good news. The Sinclair situation sounds precautionary. Clark playing a pre-season game is good news too. Still a shame to have a few injuries but compared to last year, a lot better.

Just pray for no injuries in the pre-season games.

Don't see the problem, who else should be in that role? We've got a good young core, but at this stage none of them should be in the leadership group. Next year, perhaps. Seb Ross is a safe bet.
