Great points…I’ve seen Bonner play live for Port and must say I was surprised to see him get delisted at age 26 at the time.
Perhaps Miles Bergman took his spot but his kicking can potentially help the quality of our forward 50 entries, not only with precision but also penetration.
I’ve been to training every week this preseason and he’s been in the top echelon each week…looks super fit with a point to prove!
Definitely a first 22 player at our club.

Riley going well so far I see? Happy for him and pleased he is racking them up and kicking goals. Amazing how players change for the better when they are played in position and well coached. We could sure use him ATM. All the best vs Geelong.

Only had success when he had a really good 2IC, Voss, Richardson & Walsh (RIP). Also helps when he is protected by the footy director (Davies). Kosh wanted him gone.

Does anyone know how Keeler has been going playing in defence in the VFL games? Given our injuries I wonder if we should also start looking at moving Caminiti to defence to see how he goes?

I really dont rate Cordy he is a stop gap similiarly to Campbell, but we should be looking further ahead and playing the kids IMO.

Keeler won't play AFL level defense until after the bye, and thats if he picks it up immediately. Expect a full season of VFL for him.

People like to hang him on here for absolutely no reason, but the coaches rate him very very highly.

In principle l agree 100% but Cordy ain't that bad and none of our kids are even close to ready to step up as a FB so don't waste your energy even thinking about it.
My gut says Doogs will be traded end of season anyway, so a couple of months to see how that might look is ok for where we're at.
Defense is far more about system than personnel, and we still have Wilkie who is the kingpin anyway.

He shows a lot of promise. Zero chance for r1 if Batts is fit.
